Hard tackling by itself does not cause injuries to your own players. Hard tackling reduces player condition fast, so does whole pitch press. So a combination of both MAY result in your players...

Never lost to teams that have player playing in wrong positions & not when Inhavr 80% possession, so I must say this has something to do with your players & formation or even the opponents formation....

I wouldn't sell him. I have an MC playmaker who has great runs for 5-6 matches then has bad days for a further 5-6 matches...but overall he is a keeper... To me scouts are long term investments...
