I don't believe this. Our brains evolve to find correlations between pretty much everything, and it's usually a good thing, but sometimes it fails (and then we "invent" astrology, for example xD)....

Activated attack bonus gives you additional 5%, nothing more, nothing less. Mentality and bonuses have no synergy, and to notice such a tiny bonus you need to gather statistics...
