No it's because in football the better team doesn't always win! try different formations etc. different players, there is a reason for this that is not related to the game engine...

At the end of the day Top Eleven is a game and like any other football/sports games every now and then a strong team loses to a weaker one, I myself had a potential unbeaten season 2 seasons back...
