I prefer hard rock&heavy metal (PANTERA \m/ ), but anything with some musical potential finds its way to me. Funk (early Red Hot Chilli Peppers), punk, reggae (Bob Marley), some oldschool rap (N.W.A.)... I don't want to say that modern electronic music is crap, but for me it's not music when I don't see the instruments, when the song makes no sense because it has no dynamics or melody and the only thing I hear are the weird crazy sounds.
I hate pop music. Period. Music which is made for money and fame (mostly) just can't be good.
Check this: Snoop Lion - So Long (Feat. Angela Hunte) - YouTube and see (or hear) what happens when one of the best rappers Snoop Dogg changes his whole life, converts to rastafari, changes his name to Snoop Lion an starts making reggae. I find it quite amazing, his new album is great.
