I *really* need to get further in the Cup to improve my budget, right now I am building an enormous stadia that took all my $$.

Yea, I like to have two strikers to play in the league and a different pair to play in the Cup and CL. Keeps them fresh. And some strikers only perform in one competition. Not sure why. It's so random.

Yes, some players don't seem to like one competition or the other, you just have to see which they like and play 'em there.
