FC Croft have been inspired by their new signing this season Bobby Moore, Jack & Bobby Charlton & Geoff Hurst. So they have decided to name the full squad after the 1966 world cup winning squad. Also keeping the theme going have changed their shirt colours.

I had Gordon Banks and Geoff Hurst in my squad a few seasons ago , Hurst made it to the CL final back then, with disaterous outcome lol. Also had a player I named after my soon in four weeks time grandson, I sold him at the end of last season and he should be playing for someone still at the lower levels lol.

Day 5 of the League

Well tomorrow will bring a crucial game not for FC Croft but for the 2nd & 3rd teams, which I will be watching very closely. It will give me some useful information in preparation for Day 6 when we play Liony FC

Weekend Results

Well the weekend matches have put some light between the top 5 teams.

Day 5

Both Us (FC Croft) & Simoncas won their games to stay unbeaten & share top spot. I watched the match between Simoncas & Liony FC to get a few pointers ahead of Sundays day 6 match.



Day 6

Simoncas played their game first & only managed a draw, which give us more incentive to win against then 3rd place Liony FC. As I anticipated the formation stayed the same so played a counter for the AMC, which worked out quite well.



A very good weekend 2 point clear of second place Simoncas which could stretch to 5 points if we win the away game on day 8 Tues.

Game of the Season Starts Tomorrow Tue 21:46 GMT

We are already 10 point clear of the 3rd, 4th & 5th teams, so playing the second place team away will be our biggest match so far this season.



He will be playing 4-4-2 but the 4 across the middle will line up ML-MC-MC-MC.
I plan to play my same back 4 who have only let 2 goals past them this season 5 midfield & 1 Attack 4-5-1 flat.
A draw would be acceptable, but I am playing for a small win. This should give me the cushion needed to complete another promotion.

Disappointment

Well having read some of the comments that people were making regarding the shocking results that they got today (Troll Mourinho), this result was no surprise.



We started off exactly as predicted in the earlier post^^^^^^ then after 36' he had a player sent off for a foul that was adjudged to be on the edge of the box ("what no penalty") Having missed the free kick into the crowd I new that the story was already written. On the 68' I changed my formation from 4-5-1 to 4-4-2 to take advantage of the missing red carded central defender & 2' later they get their only shot on goal only to be tipped behind for a corner, in comes the corner & comfortably defended by my central defender, but what's this a second corner, the crowd are furious & low and behold 1-0. 70'. A further change to Hexagon was clearly not going to even retrieve a draw, so sure enough the 26-0-0 season & unbeaten season comes to an end. Am I disappointed of course, but I am not going to Quit, or Tank or even Cry. I'm just going to Carry on Regardless.
