9/2 Cup Chicago Storm FC 7-1 soccer city
Soccer city heads out to Chicago, Illinois, to play the second leg of the playoff round of the cup. The first game of the leg saw a 1-1 draw between these two teams. The Storm have the stronger team and are looking to progress farther into the playoffs.
Starting off the game nice and quick, Matt Carseldine lays off a pass to fellow striker Zivojin Maric, who gives the Chicago Storm FC a quick 1 nil lead. After attacks from both sides, a corner is all that the Storm need as Matt Carseldine heads in an Evghenie Grosu corner. Exactly at the half an hour mark, Zivojin Maric weaves in and out the soccer city's defense and bangs in his second goal of the night. Just prior to the kickoff, Martín Rodríguez steals the ball and scores a howler from 35 yards out. Rodríguez's goal gives the Storm a 4-0 lead going into the half.
Shariyaya Kalikkaran Kanhirode, soccer city's manager, knows his team has their work set out for them if they want to progress farther into the cup. To make things worse, Matt Carseldine and Akif Torlak (off an Evghenie Grosu corner) score 10 minutes apart to put the Chicago Storm FC up by 6. Torlak is making an uncommon appearance as he's in for Fouhad Taubira, who has a red card. With only a few minutes remaining, soccer city's midfielder, John Ryan, breaks Camacho's clean sheet as he buries one with only 7 minutes remaining. Akif Torlak decides to boost his stats by scoring his second of the night with 2 minutes remaining. The Storm's multi-goal scorer Matt Carseldine wins this game's MOTM.

HAWKEYE UNITED (4-1-2, +4 GD) head into Chicago to take on the Chicago Storm FC (6-1-0, +30 GD) at the United Center. Most of the Storm's recent games have been against sub-par clubs, so it'll be interesting to see how they fare against an over .500 team. Like usual, the Storm are the heavy favorites, and HAWKEYE UNITED will want to silence their crowds.
The Chicago Storm FC start the match off with the ball, and oh! What's that? Zivojin Maric has already scored, and we're not even a minute into the game! The majority of the fans haven't even found their seats yet! Just over five minutes later, Daniel Kofi Amo smashes in a 25 yard screamer, to give the Storm a 2 goal advantage in under 10 minutes. What is this? Germany vs Brazil v2? Although the Storm have the clear advantage here, they are still pressing forwards to try to give themselves a higher goal differential. With many attacks comes missed chances, although Karim Boutadjine finds the back of the netting off of a Matt Carseldine through ball. HAWKEYE UNITED will go into the half trailing 0-3.
The Chicago Storm FC are still hungry for goals, and it takes less than 10 minutes for Daniel Kofi Amo to bulge the netting for the fourth goal of the night. Unsatisfied with his recent performances, Karim Boutadjine tries to prove to the Storm's manager, Hawks, that he's the right guy for the job by putting away his second goal of the night. With the game winding to an end, Matt Carseldine adds salt to the wound at puts away his first goal of the night with only 6 minutes remaining. Xisco Camacho picks up his first clean sheet in a while, as both teams leave the field with opposite emotions. Goal scorer and Chicago's midfielder Daniel Kofi Amo walks away with the MOTM award.

The Chicago Storm come into Bangkok, Thailand, with a depleted side, as manager Hawks has decided to rest some of his starting 11 players. The Storm (7-1-0, +36 GD) face off against Hero FC (2-1-5, -11 GD) in their first meeting of the season. With the standings seeming to be set, the Storm know that they will need to be getting a full 3 points out of these 'easy' games.
Adi Warman, Zivojin Maric's replacement, starts the game off with a quick goal off of an Alan Leonard corner. 10 minutes later, Fouhad Taubira scores his first of the night off of a beautiful skill run down the field. Just after the half hour mark, Taubira nets his second of the night off a Matt Carseldine layoff pass. As Hero FC pull the ball out from the back of their net and kickoff, Daniel Kofi Amo steals the ball and scores from distance. 0-4 Chicago at the half time break.
With many more missed chances for the Chicago Storm FC, the games heads into the final 30 minutes. Fouhad Taubira scores a third goal for his hat trick, as the Storm are en route for an easy victory. With 5 minutes remaining, Alan Leonard heads in a Karim Boutadjine corner kick to score Chicago's 6th and final goal. The Storm take this game, 0-6, as backup keeper Eric Hahnemann records a clean sheet in a rare start. Hat Trick Hero Fouhad Taubira is awarded the MOTM award for his brilliant performance in the game.
