It's been a very hard start to the season, with the team really failing to get going so far. A draw in the first leg of the Cup today puts Halifax in danger of exiting the cup soon. Foster did manage to get a goal, but the overall team performance hasn't hit the standard needed.

Yesterdays Champions League saw Foster get a hat trick and pick up a MOM award in the only convincing game of the season. The opening league game was a dull 0-0 draw, whilst 2 goals by Foster helped Halifax sneak through with a 4-2 win in todays league game. Another MOM award for him in that game.

7 goals in the first 6 games this season then for Foster. Not a bad return really, to say its more than one goal a game however compared to how well Foster started last season it is a lot slower.

The main concern at the moment however is the overall poor performance of the entire team. Things just aren't clicking at the moment, so lets hope Foster can step it up a level to help the team through this difficult time.

Results have picked up, with straight wins in the past few days, but performances less than fluid. A scare in the Cup as the opponent strengthened heavily between the games to be vastly superior, but then failed to show up in todays match as a Foster assist helped Halifax win 1-0.

Averaging a goal a game from the first 10 games this season for Foster, so not a dreadful return, but not scoring at the same rate as this time last season. The new update seems to have caused problems with connectivity and also team performance and training so it will be interesting to see how the next few weeks pan out to see how it affects Foster.

16 games in and Foster is still hitting an average of a goal a game. His assists are up on last season, with him on 9 so far which is better than the last couple of seasons.

One Yellow away from a suspension in the league - It does feel like he will miss a game by the end of the season as T11 is often eager to pair up suspensions and double bookings.

The good news is that Foster helped Halifax to a 4-0 first leg lead in the Cup yesterday, so tomorrows second leg should really be a formality.

The whole team including Foster haven't really got going this season overall however, so its just a case of trying to get through what is a bit of a lul. A goal a game is a good return in all fairness, but it does represent Foster's worse run ever for Halifax.

The other positive is that in the past couple of days Foster has just passed 550 goals for the club. 553 is his current haul.

A solid, yet unspectacular season continues for Foster. With 30 games now played he is on 32 goals for the season. Still walking the tightrope of a suspension in the league, whilst Halifax are still in all three competition, which with the added training requirements has left the team very tired at times.

43 goals from 37 games for the season now, so whilst Foster has picked up a tiny bit he is still below his lowest ever return on a season - which sits at 48. Thankfully there are still 8 league games (or 7 if he gets a second yellow), as well as Champions League and Cup games left as Halifax still remain in all 3 competitions.

It feels like a case of seeing the season out and hoping for better next year now, but its hoped that Foster can at least beat his lowest ever 48 return. 580 career goals to date now too, which isn't a bad return.

With just one game of the season left Foster is on 66 goals for the season. This means whilst its felt like he hasn't performed as well this season he is actually on a par with his usual overall target.

Past the 600 goals for Halifax too now. As it stands on 603 for the club.

The league and Champions League have both been wrapped up, although it was a case of disappointment in the cup, again losing in the final.

Season over and Foster nets one and assists one more in the last game of the season.

He ends the season with 67 goals and 22 assists. 604 career goals. As usual the plan is to get Foster in for power training tomorrow - with the new training schedule it will be interesting to see if this is easier or harder to do than normal.

As always, day one of the season sees Foster trained until he can not improve any more. Its hard with the new training system to tell if he is right at the top, but he doesn't appear to be improving anymore with training so its been called for now.

Two goals in the Cup has started the season off with a bang for Foster, but the team is up against it as the opposition is much stronger. There isn't much hope of getting through the round in fairness.

Its been a solid start to the season so far for Foster. One goal off getting 100 in the Cup, but after losing 2-1 in the first leg today and against a stronger opponent progression doesn't look good. It will be nice to see him get his 100th in the second leg, even if we can't progress.

Two good wins in the league has seen the season start well and whilst Foster failed to net in the Champions League game yesterday it was a easy victory, so bar the Cup everything is going very well so far.
