It looks like the game engine has decided that there is only one way to stop Hayden Foster this season - and that is to injure him. For the second time in 5 games Foster suffers a hamstring injury from a shirt pull. Thankfully this time, Foster had already played 78 mins and had managed to net twice prior to going off.

Yet again, an impressive display by Foster in the cup against a team two leagues above Halifax. It was expected that Halifax would bow out of the Cup here as the other team has a much greater overall quality, but after seeing the opposition was playing with 3 CM's, the decision to attack the flanks paid off. Another fantastic MOM performance by Foster to nudge Halifax into a 3-0 first leg lead. Avoid a trolling in the return leg and they will be the second team two leagues above us dispatched in the cup this season, with Foster hitting goals against both.

Just like the other day Foster was quickly rushed to the medical centre and given another 15 reds to make him available for the league game later on.

Foster then had a quiet game in the league against one of the stronger teams, but still managed to get on the score sheet once, to help keep his goals ticking over for the season. Not a bad start to the season really, even more so considering that the game engine appears to be wanting to cripple him.
