    Balkan Boyz - Matchday 9 (Sz.5 - lvl5)

HEADLINE: Balkan Boyz blisters Joe FC to reach Champions League final-eight!

    CL: Joe FC (Q37,8) Formation: 4-4-2 >> 10 - 0 << Balkan Boyz (Q46,6) Formation: 4-2N-2W-2
    SCORERS: J. Al-Nahal (4min), S.Jovetić (26&59min), I.Olić (48min.ass:S.Jovetić) and E.Džeko (66min.ass:S.Jovetić).
    SUBS: S.Hajrović < > N.Tomović D.Srna < > S.Sušić M.Mandžukić < > S.Jovetić
    MOTM: Stevan Jovetić (rate:9)

Balkan Boyz cruised into their third Champions League final-eight after a 1 - 4 away win over Joe FC at the "JoeFC’s Stadium" on Monday evening! Joe FC striker, Jozeph Al-Nahal opened the scoring for the home team in the 2nd minute after the challenge in which Adem Ljajić caused a free kick and got a warning. But Balkan Boyz managed to get back into the game after a Stevan Jovetić equalizer just before halftime. In the 2nd half, Manage -Ljepoje- made two substitions and a tactical change which proved to be a good move. Ivica Olić scored to 1 - 2 after assist by Stevan Jovetić. Jovetić managed to extend the lead in the 52nd minute to 1 -3 and a couple of minutes he assisted Edin Džeko to his 1 - 4 goal. This win gave the Balkan Boyz an incredible 14-1 aggregate victory over Joe FC!

Manager -Ljepoje- was quite satisfied with his team performance and said that "We played fantastically today and I must say we did a fantastic job this evening. A ticket to the final-eight is every managers dream and especially in the early-stage ones with 2 games to play. The score could have been way bigger and win much sweeter if we didnt have a league game and a friendly a hour before kickoff. But we are satisfied, even if we conceded a goal in the first opening minutes".

In other news, Balkan Boyz managed to beat the English team "Scally Utd" with 0 - 1 after a late goal by Ivica Olić. A game in which Ivica Olić himself was declared as MoM. The win means that Balkan Boyz holds onto first place with 21 points and are 3points clear in front of the Israeli team Iztik Yan. Balkan Boyz will play the Italian team "Benevento" tomorrow at home, with a kick-off time at 14:45CET.

Later on that day, Balkan Boyz will play the Danish team "NB 99" in the 2nd leg of the T11 CUP playoffs at "NB Arena". According to manager -Ljepoje-, his team are ready and set, despite Safet Sušić being suspended. "In one way or other, we are decimated with the suspension of our MC and playmaker Safet Sušić, but at the same time we have Lorik Cana as a great and neat substitution. Of course, the ideal case would be to have both of them in the middle, supporting our wingers and strikers, since both are playmakers. But we have to accept the situation and go with the players we have on our disposable. Then there is a possibilty that Senad Lulić will replace Sead Hajrović as well, since Lulić can play into two positions and could get in handy when defending ourselves against freekicks. But nothing has yet been decided and we have tomorrow before making any decisions. The second option is to start with a three-man defence and a three-man midfield to repeal their 4-3-3 system, which means that we would start with a 3-3-2-2 formation instead of a 4-2-2-2. Also, I have been spoken to our staff and we are doing everything that is in our power to get Lorik Cana ready by tomorrow".

Since the first meeting ended in a 0 - 0 draw, Balkan Boyz are more or less forced to "play-to-win" to get a ticket to the final-eight. The kickoff is set at 17:37CET.

    Balkan Boyz - Matchday 10 (Sz.5 - lvl5)

HEADLINE: Two goal hero Ivica Olić puts on a show as the Balkan Boyz secure a final-eight spot!

    CUP: NB99 (Q45,6) Formation: 4-3-3 >> 0 - 2 (AGG:0-2) << Balkan Boyz (Q46,6) Formation: 4-2N-2W-2/3N-3N-2W-2
    SCORERS: I. Olić (79 & 86min.ass:E.Džeko)
    SUBS: D.Srna < > A.Halilović
    MOTM: Ognjen Vranješ (rate:8)

Balkan Boyz secured a final-eight spot this evening after they beat the Danish "NB99" at "NB Arena" in front of 19,000 spectators. The man behind the victory was the shadowstriker Ivica Olić who managed to get the Balkan Boyz two goals in the last quarter and therefore give his team a ticket to the T11 CUP final-eight! Since the first leg was extremely tight and ended in a tie, the second leg became more open and free-scoring, something that both teams seemed to take advantage of. The Danish decided to line up with a 4-3-3 formation, the same as in the 1th leg and Balkan Boyz started with their traditionally 4-2N-2W-2 as well. But a tactical move by Manager -Ljepoje- to a far more offensive 3N-3N-2W-2 formation was made the last twenty minutes. This tactical switch seemed to give "bean" and Balkan Boyz with Ivica Olić looking threatening in front of the goal managed to score twice and therefore secure furture advancement in the T11 CUP.

Manager -Ljepoje- didn't hide his happiness and satisfaction that his team reached the T11 CUP final-eight for the second time in a row. The manager seemed quite pleased and satisfied with his young team's victory over the Danish and with the overall performance of his team as well. In a short post-game interview he said, "We all knew that this would be a tough return and that it could be our last game in the T11 CUP tournament as well. The Danish team "NB99" aren't just a team, they are former CUP participants as well. They got knocked out by the away goal rule last season in the final-eight against Madrid FC, the same Madrid FC beat the Swedish Hyapool FC in the quarter-finals the same season. So as you can see, we have already beaten the last season final-eight and quarterfinalist, and this is something that we should be proud of! We had as you all know a couple of setbacks in the 1th leg, first the suspension of our best midfielder and playermaker Safet Sušić, and then the 0-0 draw which wasn't that pleasant at all. But we managed to pull it of. But to get such a result, we had to work together and play as a team, and part from that, we knew we had Lorik Cana as a great and neat substitution and the strikers Edin Džeko and Stevan Jovetić which could score at any given time. Overall, I think we showed that we can play against teams at the same level or better".

Manager -Ljepoje- couldn't hide his gratitude towards the "two-goal-hero" and hailed the importance of the shadowstriker, Ivica Olić after his two late goals earned victory at "NB99 Arena", "If you look at Olić's career for the Balkan Boyz and the goals he has scored, he has got a lot of heavy goals, goals that are very important and in crucial times. This is the kind of player that every manager could wish to have.” In addition, he added “You know, we are all eager to win, and we have probably one of the best players at this level. With a little bit luck we hope to do our best in the final-eight, despite the opposition. We are better and stronger than we were before, and hopefully we could reach to semi-finals as last season. Or why not the finals, who knows?!".

In other news, Balkan Boyz managed to beat the Italian team "Benevento" with 8 - 0 after goals by Hasan Salihamidžić (x2), Luka Modrić (x2), Stevan Jovetić (x2), Mario Mandžukić (x1), Mateo Kovačić (x1) and Ognjen Vranješ (x1). A game in which Stevan Jovetić was declared as MoM (rate:9). The win means that Balkan Boyz holds onto first place with 24 points and are 3points clear in front of the Israeli team "Iztik Yan". Balkan Boyz will play the Vietnamese team "Tay Ninh FC" tomorrow away at 21:47CET. Later on that evening, Balkan Boyz are set to play the 5th group round in the Champions League tournament against the Swiss team "FCO", with a kick-off time at 23:33CET.

The T11 CUP - Draws: Balkan Boyz face Turkish Fenerbahçe SK in the Final-eight!
    ____________________***______________________

Wednesday's draw was the biggest talking point of the day in the Club house, as Balkan Boyz were drawn against the Turkish team "Fenerbahçe SK" while their friends, -Dynamo SWAG- face "LS 11" from England (United Kingdom). Manager -Ljepoje- stated earlier that it will definitely be a very tough game in all aspects, but not a impossible task.

In additional he added "All we know is that they're a good and experienced team since they played the final-eight against the Turskih team Buca FC last season in the final-eight and that Buca FC made it through to the quarterfinals facing Dynamo SWAG. They also seem to play a 4-1-3-2, 5-2N-2W-1 or 4-5-1V formation which could cause a little bit of problem and difficulties since we tend to play our traditional 4-2-2-2 formation. Our scouts have been able to follow their two games against the Bulgarian team "FC Ovech" in the playoffs and the information I got was that this is a team that has the capacity to over-turn a 3 - 0 result in the 1th half to a 3-3 result in the second half. This is strong indicator that they have the strenght and knowledge how to pick themselves up hurry off as if nothing, mostly thanks to their managers tactical approach. They have two good players as well, Omar Lara (ST) and Nazaruddin Abdul Karaim (DC) both 7* and the rest are scouts 6*. But at the same time, we have 6x 8* players and the rest are 7* in our first eleven and our benchplayers are all at 6* or 5* you know, so we are much better, stronger and experienced as well. I think this will be a quite intresting game, but as I said - We're going all the way!"

The 1th leg will be played tomorrow (Thursday) at 23.28CET at "Kesapspor Stadium" and the 2nd leg on Saturday at 23.21CET at "Balkan Boyz Stadium". Other intresting games are: Dynamo SWAG (Swiss) vs LS 11 (England/UK), Orchard Utd (Philippines/UK) vs FC Atlantika (Russia), Nbm (United Arab Emirates) vs NuN FC (Thai), FC Saleh (Saudi Arabia) vs Always United (England/UK), RBB FC (Spain) vs RSCA Anderlecht (Belgium), Burkan FC (Turkey) vs FC Köln (Italy) and Christian FC (Denmark) vs Ryet United (Sweden).

    Balkan Boyz - Matchday 10 (Sz.5 - lvl5)

HEADLINE: Comfortably win for the Balkan Boyz in the CL and League!

CL: The Balkan Boyz have continued their winning form in this seasons Champions League tournament, defeating the Swiss team "FCO" today with 1 - 3. Goals scored by Safet Sušić, Stevan Jovetić and Mario Mandžukić. The Balkan Boyz have dominated Group F so far, winning all five games, and appears to be on its way to the playoffs (final-eight) without any noteworthy problems. The team will face "Olympique Barca" from France in the 6th round on Friday.

LEAGUE: Things are looking good for team at the moment as Manager -Ljepoje- and his Balkan Boyz are at the top the table, with 27 points from 9 games, after their win against the Vietnamese "Tay Ninh FC" today. A game that ended 0-4 to the guests in which Edin Džeko, Safet Sušić, Adem Ljajić and Hasan Salihamižić all scored. The Balkan Boyz are currently unbeatable and are facing the Israeli team "Iztik Yan" tomorrow, a game in which they could tighten their grip and extend their lead with 9points if they manage to win. Manager -Ljepoje- stated that tomorrows meeting would be a important game and a crucial game for both sides as well since both teams are playing to secure or hold-on to the 1th resp 2nd place. Balkan Boyz are expected to start with their best lineup against "Iztik Yan" tomorrow, despite the CUP final-eight game against Fenerbahçe SK later on that evening.

    Balkan Boyz - Matchday 11 (Sz.5 - lvl5)

HEADLINE: Balkan Boyz players celebrate after beating Fenerbahçe F.C in the T11 CUP Final-eight!

    CUP: Fenerbahçe F.C (Q45,1) Formation: 5-4-1/4-2N-2W-2 >> 1 - 5 << Balkan Boyz (Q48,9) Formation: 4-2N-2W-2
    SCORERS: S.Jovetić (5min) M.Breen (14min), Salihamidžić (44min), S.Jovetić (54min.ass:E.Džeko),I. Olić (55min) and E.Džeko (78min.ass:S.Jovetić)
    SUBS: S.Sušić < > A.Ljajić
    MOTM: Stevan Jovetić (rate:9)

The Balkan Boyz players celebrated after beating the Turkish opposition Fenerbahçe F.C with 1 - 5 in the 1th leg of the T11 CUP final-eight on "Kesapspor's Stadium" this evening. The Balkan Boyz striker Stevan Jovetić gave his team a early lead after 5 minutes, but Fenerbahçe equalized 10 minutes later after a freekick taken by Mark Breen. Hasan Salihamidžić scored just before the end of the half to 1-2. As the second half started, Fenerbahçe made 3 substitutions and continued putting pressure on the guests by playing more aggressive and tough. Something that resulted in a injury of the Balkan Boyz midfielder Safet Sušić who was forced to be carried from the pitch on a stretcher. But the Balkan Boyz showed courage and that they were not giving up this battle. Stevan Jovetić extended their lead to 1-3 after a assist by Edin Džeko and Ivica Olić made it to 1 - 4, before Edin Džeko finalized the score to 1 - 5 in the 78th minute. Fenerbahçe pushed for a goal the last quarter and had two scoring opportunities, but GK Asmir Begović made two stunning saves to keep Fenerbahçe out from getting any goal. This win puts Balkan Boyz into a good position before the return on Saturday as they host Fenerbahçe on "Balkan Boyz Stadium" at 23:21CET.

LEAGUE: Just as things were looking good for the Balkan boyz after their win against the Vietnamese "Tay Ninh FC" with 0 - 4 yesterday, todays surprisingly and unexpected loss against the 2nd team "Iztik Yan" with 0 - 2 complicated the situation furthermore. An early booking and red card for the DL/DC Senad Lulić, injury of Stevan Jovetić and a warning for Nemanja Vidić left the Balkan Boyz decimated with 9 players against 11, leaving the guest to score two goals and no chance for the Balkan Boyz to get back into the game. Manager -Ljepoje- was left frustrated over the inconsistencies in refereeing and said that his team was once again "penalized" as in the last season when the Balkan Boyz got Jovetić injured, Vidić sent off and Modrić warned. The Balkan Boyz fanClub "Teški Jebači" showed and expressed their disappointment and anger regarding the refereeing and started to throwing coins, a bottle of Jack Daniels and a pig head towards the referee, causing the players to be taken off the pitch for a couple of minutes. Manager -Ljepoje- managed to calm the fans and told them to express their support for the team instead. In a short post-game interview he said, "19,000 fans saw what was going on, once again we were penalized. They knew they couldn't win fair and square, so they used all methods to get that win, with or without the support from the referee. How can a team like us get 5 bookings in which 1 resulted in a red and a injury and the guest pass without none? This is just bullsh*t and I hope for the sake of the referee and his health that he never steps his foot on this pitch anymore. He was and still is a disgrace who should be sacked and never be allowed to officiate again! I have no further comments".

The Balkan Boyz have two games tomorrow, the first game will be played against the French team "Olympique Barca" as the last and 6th round will be played in the CL groupstage. The Balkan Boyz have already secured a ticket to the final-eight and will end up as groupwinners in group F despite the outcome against "Olympique Barca". Their opposition could be the turkish team "TanerGS" or the english team "AFC Powerlifting" from group E. "TanerGS" are currently leading the group by 12 points, but a loss or draw could put "AFC Powerlifting" at 1th place if they manage to beat "Frank BHO FC" tomorrow.

The second game will be played 30minutes later, and Balkan Boyz will face "UTA ARAD" from Romania. Manager -Ljepoje- stated that this is a game that they need to win to keep Iztik Yan, Vanspor FC and FC Kula away and keep a 3points distance. Safet Sušić and Samir Handanović are both on the injury list and gone for 4 resp 5 days. Stipe Pletikosa and Adam Ljajić are expected to replace.
