you call them unbalanced players, i call them mini specialists. I dont see the point of a defender who knows how to attack, or a striker who knows how to defend. My defenders defend and my strikers attack. Its served me well. You dont see neymar or ronaldo with high tackling skills. (pretty crappy actually)

It does help to develop attacking skills on defenders btw.

DR/DL make quite a few assists and crosses if you pass down the flanks.

and also Heading skill (which is in attack) is great for clearing corners, and scoring goals from corners.

STs don't really need defensive skills, you have a point there though.

Yes, I understand that. But I always balance their main skill with physical. So I have a defender who is 60/40/59, for example. And MCs I balance across the board. You have attacking midfielders and defending midfielders, but no balanced players ... and by neglecting physical you lack speed and conditioning.

But if it works for you, great. I wouldn't want your players though.

and my defenders are both 57/37/57... so if you wouldnt want my players... you probably don't want your own either eh

btw, these are defenders from my bench. and they are already comparable to your ideal example of 60/40/59. don't take it personally, i'm just saying read carefully before you judge. and nobody's going to be happy when they are selling some product and some guy comes along and starts bashing it

trust me, my players' stat builds definitely work. Every season which i've played seriously so far (ie not saving tokens or for next season) i've won the league by a country mile.

and yeap i'm sure it works. I won't be just selling my bench. I will be selling my entire squad. It has been more or less confirmed that the cup is based on the 1st team's players instead of the average quality overall so this will likely work.

I'm pretty sure there was a massive debate on this at one point on that ultra power trained Japanese manager's thread. Some people actually tried this and still got the same quality teams as last season. (July Fourth included i think).

Maybe Nordeus takes your average quality from last season too and compares it just in case people attempt what you're trying to do.

Anyway i'm curious to see how it turns out, but you're taking a big risk there matey

Thats news to me! I've just been through the jap manager's thread cover to cover but didnt find it, maybe it was another thread? If someone who tried it can confirm this that would be great. I musta missed it cos i really thought it was only based on top 11 for the current season..

yeap ill definitely update how it goes if i go thru with it. no real damage done until i start selling my first team

ah thanks i was at the wrong thread, went to his teamshowcase instead. But from what i see it looks like the ones who did try only tried selling all but their first team? I can't tell without a real frame of reference as i don't think i was reading the posts during that time, but it doesn't look like anybody has tried selling their first team before. I wonder why though.. Maybe all that did ended up quitting after it didnt work so they didnt come back to post lol. Hope not.

It's two seasons i give sps personally over this basis, lv6 talking:

Gk: 60% def, 35% phy, 5% atk
Central Def: 55% def, 40% phy, 5% atk
Wing def: 45% def, 45% phy, 10% atk
MC/DMC/MR/ML/DML/DMR: equal on all sections
AMR/AML/AMC: 5% def, 55% atk, 40% phy
STs:
1- 10% def, 60% atk, 35% phy
2- 5% def, 45% atk, 45% phy

Had my two best season, and apart from one loss with a 15 q better team in rr cup ( won the second leg), i still have to lose a match over 90+ games played.

So i dont see any problem on the OP's players, let alone that it's useless to reply here bashing someone's choiches. You dont like it, you won't buy, easy.

Same goes for how a player decides to play next season: you dont like it, dont do the same, but last time i checked, it's a free game and it never was much of balanced to start with.
