The final round of the league season and also a very, very special day for one of our most important players in our clubs history... Stacey Papaleo (Jr.), as we turn our focus onto the amazing strikers 8 season career at July Fourth which has seen no less than 275 goals and helped us deliver no less than 19 trophies while the player has been at our club since arriving as a 23 year old from the scout list and power trained many times since... However the race against old age has finally been lost and although Papaleo is only 5 skill points away from 6* (5* next season), There are calls for the player to remain on our squad, July Fourth have agreed with Papaleo in principle that Papaleo will only leave once a direct replacement has been found and no good replacement is found then Papaleo will have a 9th season at the club as a reserve as a low-end 5* player for much of next season. Alex Zidane was rumoured to return for this match as he was on the transfer list last week and July Fourth considered making an offer but declined to place a bid for the veteran since it wouldn't be worthwhile. Alex Zidane as well as Kevin Mensah, Ludek Novotny and Stacey Papaleo (Sr.) will be present today at Islington Park to watch Papaleo's last match as an important player for the club. We also have the small matter of trying to finish the league season unbeaten and hopefully Papaleo can get on the scoresheet this afternoon at least once to see it out.
Today is... The Stacey Papaleo Testimonial.
Match Odds: July Fourth 2/9, Draw 9/2, erster FC Puma 12/1.

Stacey Papaleo Testimonial
July Fourth 125.7 3N-4-1-2 - erster FC Puma 116.2 4-4-2 classic
What a dull game, absolutely nothing interesting happened in it until the last 20 minutes and I am disappointed that this was not the send off to great legend of the club... erster FC Puma were never in the game but to be fair they defended well and so did we in any of their attacks they had in the game with Hogan and Ramirez cutting everything out, as the game was drawing to close and looking like a 0-0 draw with a possibility of erster spoiling the party and ending our unbeaten league season, A Michu through ball found the in-form O'Sullivan to strike it past Kondaponi in the erster goal for the winner... Papaleo played a good ball to Michu a moment afterwards and Michu put it wide denying Papaleo's 150th assist for the club and the game ended 1-0. Thankfully for a consolation from the NGE the MOTM went to Papaleo in which can only be described as the right thing to do in such a disappointing dull game for the neutral.
Goals: O'Sullivan MOTM: Papaleo.
Team Talk: Played 26 Lost 0, thats how our league record finished this season and fatigue showed today in our league game after fighting hard to stay supreme in 2 competitions.
And... Now it's time for the trophy celebration... The League Champions once again are July Fourth and as a recognition to 5 great seasons for the club for Miku and Michu the dynamic duo have been given the honour from captain Dino Childs to lift the trophy as well as Papaleo then getting the league trophy afterwards and starts to run around the July Fourth pitch touchline and doing a lap of honour for the club while holding the trophy to the fans. Papaleo then gives the trophy to O'Sullivan to continue the celebrations as Papaleo recieves a standing ovation from the July Fourth crowd who want to say a big thank you to the player and Papaleo saluts the fans and claps hands above his head and says thank you to all the fans. Papaleo knows that if the right players are not available next season then the experience of the veteran will be called on once more and will appear in dead rubber games and substitutions in games that July Fourth are winning confortably...
Stacey Papaleo (Jr.) ... Played 336 Goals 275 Assists 149 MOTM 77.
Thanks For Everything Stacey!!!
