    Champions League 1/16 round - 2nd leg

    Perfect Tactics (2) 2-1 Guerrieros FC (0)

    Perfect Tactics: 72.4, 3N-5-2v/4-2-2W-1/4-4-1 | Guerrireros FC: 65.3, 4-1-2-1-2ND

Perfect Tactics win 4-1 on aggregate.

This was a strange one, despite being the more dominant team we didn't really capitalise on our chances early on and we needed a goal to settle our nerves. However, things started to get bad when Magill was sent off for bringing the attacker down as the last man. The free kick came to nothing but we were playing with 10 men for the remainder of the match. Funnily enough, we dominated the chances in the 2nd half but couldn't score. We reverted to a 4-4-1 formation with Petersen Jr as MR and debutant Ferreira playing as ML, this meant Petersen as striker. That changed a lot as instantly, Petersen was through on goal and passed to Milosavljevic to tap in for 1-0. Then it was 2-0, Ferreira with a long range strike to put us 2-0 up. Our opponents didn't really try to score until the last minute of the game when Malek hit home for 2-1 but that was only a consolation as we are through to the next round.

Goals: Milosavljevic (77'), Ferreira de Morais Filho (81'), Malek (90')
    Sent off: Magill (41')
    MOTM: Milosavljevic

Not the best once again from Perfect Tactics but it's all about getting through to the next round.

FCK CL update: FC Kneipenkick 1-1 Belay Boys 2 FC (4-1 on aggregate)
After the nice 3-0 away win we faced BB2's 4-1-2-1-2 ND again with 4-5-1V-style, but BB2 had the better start into the match and scored the 0-1 after 37 minutes. At half-time the away team manager did some substitutions without changing his formation (he brought fresh defenders). We waited carefully for chances, but it took up to minute 71, when a BB2 defender played hand in the penalty area. The referee decided penalty and Decker converted it for the equalizer (71.). A switch to 3N-5V-1 brought no further chances and the match ended 1-1. The first lost points in the CL campaign and I fear it won't be the last. The remaining teams in the next rounds are filled with scout players. The next opponent has a starting 11 full of them and the possible semi-final opponent has a squad full of scouts and lots of 7* in the starting 11. Well, FCK has to face it and we 'll try our best.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE LAST 16, 2ND LEG - RESULT

    July Fourth 2-0 LMUc

    July Fourth win 2-0 aggregate
    July Fourth 4-5-1 V-Style 131.7 - LMUc 124.6 3N-4-1-2

LMUc are a troll team. They made life difficult for us and had started the most lively of the 2 teams, Hardy was successful in dealing with all the tackles back in defence for us but eventually LMUc found a way past our defence with Mori getting a clear run on goal and Hansen's shot being saved for a corner... The corner was headed away to safety from Ramirez and we dodged a bullet there. Pekas then managed to get a shot on target and Knight pulled off a great save. Soon July Fourth had the ball in a dangerous area with Watsons pass finding Petersen to tuck it in for his 10th of the season, Hardy then won a couple of challenges before Turley was forced off injured for LMUc... We won a free-kick and Beckett dispatched it perfectly in the top corner to give us a 2-0 lead at HT.

LMUc were not done yet and were still in the game on the counter with Pekas trying to break forward early on with Hardy winning that tackle as well... An away goal would put them within a goal of knocking us out the competition, Campo's corner was headed away by Malik and Hogan had to make another challenge... but soon Petersen had a great chance to end this as a contest and opted to pass to Ramirez who fired it over the bar. Petersen then took a shot on target but it was saved and Papaleo was replaced by Pietropaolo late on as well as Miku coming on for Watson. Time was running out for LMUc and Miku did a good job of keeping the ball in the opponents half of the field and run the clock down, Petersen had another late effort blocked but we soon heard the full time whistle and that means we qualify.

    Goals: Petersen (29) Beckett (40) MOTM: Hardy - 1pt
    Manager Points: Hardy 3,Petersen 2,Knight 1.
    Top 5 Standings: Pietropaolo 28,Beckett 22,Petersen 19,Calavicci 17,Papaleo 16.

Team Talk: We done enough to get this difficult tie but no more. I felt that we could of played better over the 2 legs but LMUc showed a lot of resilience and also it gives hope to teams with a similar quality of LMUc that it's possible to turn us over. July Fourth will need to play better in the Quarter-Finals as we face arch-rivals from last season in the league NAMO UNITED as they won their last 16 tie with a 4-1 aggregate win. They will be a handful with their POWER SUPPORT.

If LMUc took their early chances in this tie... Then we would of been eliminated.

Quite a close one. You now have NAMO UNITED to worry about. If they watch their matches and support themselves, it could be a tough match indeed. Are they as strong as last season?

No... Quality-wise they are about 3Q lower in relative Q terms to last season. Guess what? Surprise, Surprise... They are tanking the league season... Probably waiting on getting "Fha FC" back in the same league as them next season so they can make a title challenge in next seasons league, but we won't care about that because we will be a level higher than them.

    Season 7. Champions League - 1/8 Finals 2nd Leg.

Again the opponent with a illegal formation and being the match at home, it was an easy win.

We move on to the 1/4 finals.

    Final score: 4-0
