I actually bought, sold then re-bought this player this season :-)
I am now really pondering selling him. He a few training points away from scout, as you can see I haven't let him go to scout in case I decide to sell him. He has 10 points to spend if I decide to keep him.
18yo, no skill, one position DR. What do you think? Cash in before he devalues or keep him for next season?
I would keep him for sure, he is too good to sell, he also is very young, it could be one extremely good player.

Another I am unsure with. 19yo scout, high value (fast trainer). needs about 50 training points to be a scout again next season. No skill.
Cash in?
I have a 30yo one on one scorer, and 18yo one on one scorer both world class (normal training speed), so this player is usually a sub. What do you think?
Well haha, i would keep him aswell, unless u got such a good team, that are maxed out in stars. Then u dont need him, but if u really wanna get rid of him, i would be happy to take him over hehe xD
Btw may i ask, how on earth do u get such players? U pay it with money? Or u find them on the market? What are the levels of your buildings? Do u started playing long time ago?
What to do with this player?

Plus points -
Young
2 Skill points away from the next star
Negative points -
Slow trainer
No Special Ability
Options:
A) Don't train him ,sell him next season when he's 5*, replace with faster trainer with Special Ability
B) Train to 7* (scout next season) and keep and play regularly.
C) Keep (train to 7*) as 2nd team player and get a replacement with faster trainer with Special Ability
What do you guys think? Any other suggestions are welcome :)
Keep him till first day of next season, then sell him if there is no one else like him on the market. Wait till peak time people will go crazy as everyone's rebuilding their team.
My reasoning, he's a slow trainer, he'll cost a lot to power train. You'll simply be annoyed in the long run
Can u explain to me, what u mean by power training? You're not suggesting some sort of hack to do that right?
Every now and then Nordeus will flood the market with about 20-30 5 star players. I bought both of these from the market when that occurred. I'd actually bought about ten players that night, sold on about 5 of them the next day. With good players it's better to buy them if you're not sure if the market is flooded with them, then decide later to keep them or not.
I haven't power trained either of these players.
You can use boosters (med packs) to bring players health back up after training them.
For example, I bought two 3 star about to level 18yo defenders, both fast trainers (by this I mean double the cost of a normal training 18yo). I power trained them, using bought tokens and packs from vids. The first I got from 3 stars to 8 eight in about ten days. The second I got to seven stars, then let him gain the last 20-30 training points via games, 3x normal training once per day
So you're saying its possible to train a certain player continually, using the green med packs? I found the only thing i could train was the personal trainer, how can i train player like that? Because using the other training things, the 3 options, i have to wait certain amount of minutes before i can use it again.
You set the player training mode to "hard". Keep training your player every hour on all training sessions (stretching, cardio and practice match) while you are awake and use the green med packs to replenish energy. You'll also need red med packs in case of injury. Your player will gain skill points very fast this way.

What about this player: My points eventhough he is a 19yo he is super SLOW trainer
Only managers in the tier above can buy him, for them he would be a low level 5 star 1 day left of this season, then he'll be a low level 4 star next season and 20yo.
If you wait till next season and sell him he'll be worth less, but he'll be a 5 star player. Everyone wanting to build up their team will no doubt want to snap him up.
So it's risky, he might devalue but sell for more with the competition to buy him, or you might get lucky and get a buyer for him just now, which you probably will as he has a special skill.
So I personally would try and sell him just now, if he is like you say a very slow trainer.
yup..so far the most train points he have gained is 3
Most managers wouldn't hit the sell button yet, lol, but next season even my second team (Level 2 -> 3) would be more than happy to have this player in the team for 2/3 seasons, Keep him for at least 1 season, so you don't waste excess tokens chasing other players when you got a DR/DMR that will do more than a good job at Level 3.
its most likely to me to hold him cause i will try my best to put him 6* again in my lvl 3 leage and btw i ''steal'' him (only pay 1tkn for him)
OK, after winning the league I'm now preparing for next season. With the informations i collected in this forum i now have to set up for the upcoming season and unload the current squad.
In case that it's the first level up for me i have no experience in this. So imho I guess I should kick the crap out and hold the better ones having alts and subs for Season 2.
Here's an overview of my current team:

Please let me know your advices.
ty
How many players you will be able to buy and sell next season will depend on how many tokens you have and in-game cash.
I would offload: Jung, Fricke, Strobl,Szabo The next players on the out list are your 2 penalty-kick takers, Lee and Donno
When new season starts, try to sign 5*GK, 5*DC, 5*DR, 5*DL, 5*MC, 5*ST, Basically a 5* player in each of the positions, you should be able to get middle-aged, mid-rating 26-28 quality players on the transfer market for a few tokens each if your limited token-wise, If you have 50-100 tokens spare you try your hand trying to sign a few of the younger players.
one of the reason that your player gain skill slowly was becoz they gain star.
If I not wrong, when u bought these players, they gained star in few days after u bought them, am I right?
After that, they gained skill very slowly after training. So, when they reach nxt lvl, their star will drop, then they will progress faster.
You may have to buy 2 or 3 new players in nxt league to strengthen ur squad to compete in new league.
Most of the time, i dont assign skill of my backup players, so they can progress faster. I only assign skill when I need them.
Hope it can help u.
That is indeed true, there is only so much skill progress a player can gain on a particular Level, I was training my scouts I bought earlier in the season, at 6* they were training fine, then they slowed down a little after reaching 7*, then again less progress was made once at 8* and my two main strikers hit 9*, and the gains for training were +4 on hard streching, +8 hard cardio, +12 on hard match practice.
Let's not forget about this thread as it is a good discussion on players and what to do with them,
7 days until next season, The future of this player is in question:
http://i48.tinypic.com/14maq6u.png
Adavantages: Plays in 2 Positions, Good Performer
Disadvantages: Relatively slow trainer, 27 years old (28 next season) so not exactly a spring chicken, No special ability.
wow this thread is great....ok i will post my team...
Attachment 1586
I always use 3-1-5-1
I only need 11 good players. the rest just for backup although they are higher skills than my starting eleven.
Please give me any advices for my team. and next season i will have 500 tokens in start of season 2.
Thank you.
Hopefully the image is big enough. i dont know how to make it bigger.
PS : Please use the first image not the bottom one.
i started to do power training too ... but the worst part is i never made a 7* one ... :|

Young, fast trainer and 40 by the end of the season.
When i bought him he only got negative ratings, but now he's finally getting 7/8/9.
Should i sell him next season or train him hard? I have around 140 rest packs.
I don't really like negotiatons. I've tried it a few times and never got what i was expecting. You can't get any tokens because they whould have to spend double. Best thing should be to keep him 1 skill point from 40 and sell him the first 3 days of the next seasos. I would like to hear other options.
