Its nice to be a bargain hunter at times and you need to avoid trying getting involved in some unwanted bidding wars, but you could miss out on 1 or 2 players like I did before, could of had defender 1 token if I made bid but I didn't. and 2 players I looked at had bids but ended up at ko round 2 or ko round 3.

still got young 3 players for low number of tokens.

I got last season 4,5 players from transfer list with less then 15 tokens all close to 6 stars.

Yes, but the eventual winner might be willing to bring it to many many rounds, you might be better off not bidding on them as well. Most of my deals are made with only 1 token, or stealing at the last second in the first ko round.

Become I'm looking for high rate players but yes even with 93 quality he can perform better then a 96 is normal.

Ignacio Villarreal, 88 quality DC/DR, valued at 38.5M but sold for 45.8M, went to knockout round 10. Was very pleased watching the bids come in.

Villarreal's replacement is fellow countryman, Argentinian Marcos Gamarra, 25 year old 92 rated DC/DR with defensive wall, value 51.8M, signed for 36.7M and 1 token.

Thats what strategy I was using around the last hour or so to preserve tokens. Most of the players I'm signing are mainly back-ups.

I understand, but I will take them as long as they are not *0 or *1, or *5 or *6, right at the bottom of the 5 star range. I also don't go for *4 or *9, because I'm afraid there will be a bidding war. My aim is just to have a flexible squad, with decent quality, at low money and tokens cost.

Above, the "*" is a substitute for any numbers, because I'm talking in general.

No I wouldn't say so, if your transfer policy works and brings success on the field, then stick to it.
