LONDON CITY 2-3 OZ SPOR FC

Another disappointing home display saw us lose to the league leaders. Our visitors took a one goal lead on three occasions, and the final time was decisive. They first scored after 24 minutes. We equalised after 39, when Jacob Wilkinson finished off a fine move by Chris Pigott. But Oz retook the lead just before the break. Murat Ozturk once again equalised for us after 77 minutes, but we couldn't hold out for a draw, as our visitors scored the winner after 81 minutes. A couple of minutes from time, Wilkinson picked up an ankle injury and we finished the game with ten men.

    GOAL STATS: Phillips 24, Wilkinson 39, Phillips 42, Ozturk 77, Rajabi 81

Another disappointing home display saw us narrowly lose to the league leaders. Our opponents took the lead after 24 minutes. It took us 15 minutes to equalise when Jacob Wilkinson finished off a move by Chris Pigott. But it wasn't level for long, as Oz went back ahead, just before the break. Murat Ozturk came forward to grab our second equaliser on 77'. But nine minutes from time, we again fell behind, but this time it was for good. Wilkinson was injured just before the end.

    GOAL STATS: Phillips 24, Wilkinson 39, Phillips 42, Ozturk 77, Rajabi 81

    LONDON CITY 1-2 TAK FC

Yet again, our home form has let us down as we lost this return match in the champions league. After our 5-3 win in the first encounter, we went into the game confident we could triumph again. However, Tak scored first after just ten minutes. We trailed until three minutes into the second half, when Wasim Ali scored from a Homer Simpson corner. Boli netted again for the visitors on 57, and that ended the scoring. Mid way through the second half, we sent on new midfield signing, Dean Goody, but he didn't really have time to make an impact.

GOAL STATS: Berrocal 10, Ali 48, Boli 57

    LONDON CITY 1-2 TAK FC

Once more, our home form has let us down in this return champions league fixture. Having won the first match 5-3, we were confident of getting the job done tonight. But.... Tak opened the scoring after just 10 minutes. Wasim Ali claimed an equaliser three minutes into the second period, when he headed home a Homer Simpson corner. Boli got the winner for Tak with nine minutes remaining. We gave new midfield signing, Dean Goody a run out for the final twenty minutes.

    League, round 7

    Ahmad FC 1-7 Perfect Tactics

    Ahmad FC: 69.6, 4-1-1-2W-2 | Perfect Tactics: 83.2, 4-5-1v/butterfly (20 mins)

We needed to regain our 3 points lead at the top of the league and it suffered a setback when Mohamed Ali put Ahmad FC into a shock lead from a double corner. Our opponents were hammering us and we couldn't get out of our own half as Ahmad FC kept trying to score a 2nd goal. We figured the 4-5-1v wasn't a good formation and switched to a butterfly and that did the trick as Nascimento fired a shot past the goalkeeper to put us all square. But our opponents had chances and they almost scored a 2nd goal from a 1 vs 1 position and we managed to force a corner out which came to nothing. But Ahmad FC will be kicking themselves for not taking their chances because we took the lead on 34 minutes, Nascimento feeding the ball to Shlimazl who couldn't miss an open goal. Shlimazl then got a 2nd goal on the stroke of half time, this time a solo effort to send us 1-3 up into the break. Petersen came on in the 2nd half and set up a goal for Nascimento before Joey got his first goal for the club following a counter attack. There was still time to further punish our opponents as Nascimento and Shlimazl completed hat tricks, scoring our 6th and 7th goals of the match.

    Goals: Mohamed Ali (6'), Nascimento (23', 52', 80' HAT), Shlimazl (34', 45', 84'), Joey (70')
    MOTM: Shlimazl

Champions League Group D Round 4

    July Fourth 3-2 IGDIR CITY

    July Fourth 142.6 4-5-1 V - IGDIR CITY 127.9 4-1-3W-2

A unexpected difficult game for us here as IGDIR CITY unexpectedly rose to the challenge of July Fourth in the return game this evening after we beat them 4-0 2 days ago. We had early chances and with an unexpected incident saw IGDIR get us on the counter with Serhat squaring off for Bankert to finish it, July Fourth needed some inspiriation and it came unexpectedly from Watson on 33 minutes after dribbling by a defender and finishing it to put us level, Miku-Zidane missed an opportunity just before HT to put us ahead. The IGDIR defence were tough and playing in a 4-1-3W-2 formation is always tough to break down, But Watson completed a fine solo hatrick after a couple of fine moves on 53 minutes when scored from off the bar and 54 minutes when he scored from 25 meters, However Serhat for IGDIR city brought them back into the game on 58 minutes, It finished 3-2 to us, but IGDIR had plenty of chances to level up late which included the double corner but we held on to win.

Goals: Bankert (13) Watson (33,53,54 HAT) Serhat (58) MOTM: Watson.

Team Talk: We have safely qualified for the knockout stages with 2 games to spare once again and only have to avoid defeat in the return against QPR on Friday to win the group.

4-5-1 v style against 4-1-3w-2 I have trouble with it. In my case works 4-4-2 better.

Played 4-4-2 vs 4-1-3W-2 in the 35T league, I lost an important game.

So it seems that every formation works different for each player . I have always trouble against 4-1-3w-2 with 4-5-1 v style also against 4-3w-1-2 I had last trouble with it.
