Midfield player should have playmaker SA or dribbler SA?-1.jpg

I have trained fast trainer mc and he's doing good, but yes, he is addicted to yellow cards and 50 points would be better assigned to his skills

IMO SA are responsible rather for frequency of plays than their quality. For example, SA "playmaker" means that player will more often get the ball and try to do a key through pass to forwards/wingers. If I'm right, SA are almost useless in comparison to standard allocate points. Player of value 20 without SA will play more flexible; player of the same value with SA will often try to do his "best action" (e.g. shoot from distance), so it's better not to assign SA and spend points on skills. The one and only situation when SA work fine is when your player has a significant advantage over his opponent. SA works then as a slight bonus for actions of that type and your player does it often and (because of advantage in key skills for that action) does it well. You know, AML of v 23 with SA "dribble" playing against DR of v 20 will always be a serious threat.

I never used any skill points to get a new skill yet and I will probably never do that. I don't care if a player has a skill or not, they're probaby not making a difference anyways.

the problem with what you say is that you dont see the player make all these moves, meaning the commentary is not telling you every move this player makes, it sporadically gives you comments on things it views as important or just to give you an update...apparently.

the SA is worthless sometimes. think about it. you have a 4* MC with freekick. according to the nordeus, he plays as a 5* MC when he takes a freekick, so I would translate that into adding 15 pts to his skill. If that is the case, then almost ANY 5* MC without freekick will be just as good. so what I am saying is that the SA is worthless in alot of cases.

just buy your guy with SA or dont bother. i see many successful teams with hardly any players with SA. they really dont matter.

damn... I have spent nearly 40points on that playmaker so I will see how it will work out. Other abilities like corner specialist worth it? Or you say it's better to dump all points on skills?

This thread is rather old, and you might not get reply from some of the people who posted.

SA's can be useful, but they only apply in the situation that SA calls for, so some people prefer to apply the points to the player's all over skill, or a new role.

If you already are that far, by all means finish getting the SA. If nothing else, it will make him more saleable when you no longer need him. I have have some good playmakers, but also some that collected more yellow cards than points. It depends on how well he fits into your formation & orders.

When deciding if you want to teach a player a new role or SA, make sure it fits with his current best skills and that he trains fast enough to not fall behind in Quality from teaching the extras.
Expressed above is my own opinion. Your results may vary.

Yellow Card MAGNET! keep his Aggression low and you may be able to get away with 2/3 yellows a season. Good Luck
