Trying to tank a season

After the absurd eliminations by the cups I'd like to tank the season but.. I'm not able to loose!

In 5 matches played I have 1W 3D e just 1L
Ok my team is not so weak but I got 5 points playing with strange and illegal formations, with no morale and no condition.

Do you think I can still tank this season in the last 10 matches?



Last match:



I was attacking on both flanks...without players on flanks!
My quality: 69.1, his one 67.9 and he scored just at 89' when all my team's condition was under 50%

I really do not understand if tactics are useful or not
Maybe we're filling tons of pages talking about nothingh...

For you to finish outside the top 7 you would need the #8 and #9 teams to do well in their remaining matches,otherwise it looks a bit tough for you to avoid promotion which looks likely to happen.

I am tanking in one of my teams, i was 5th, not far from the ones in front, but i felt that the Team was not good enought to fight for top 4, just start 2 days before, and o lost against 2 weaker teams.
Put all my weaker players in, and i am playing with 5DC 5DMC, With blue arrows in all of them. Mentality very defensive, short passes, Man to Man, but still manage to score 1 goal, playing this way.

They are only 8 points behind, with 30 points to go, i think it is possible, especialy If you lose with them.

you`v tried to tank last 5 games ?? what would have if you had not drawn 3 games you`d be in top 4 which is what you want as back champions league

When I decided to tank I was in 4th position.
I didn't imagine that after 5 matches I'd loose just one position.

I could easily get to 3rd place, maybe 2nd if I play my best, but I would like to tank..just to try.

But the matter is always the same: the more I play the more tactics/orders/arrows/ball possession/watching matches seems useless

Put out a formation like this:

----------ST----------
-AML---------------AMR-
-MC----------------MC-
-DDML-------------DMR-
-DL-------DC-------DR-


Play normal, down the flanks, easy tackle, mixed passing, long passes, man-to-man, no counter, no offsides.

blue arrows on ST, red arrows on DL/DC/DR

you can put everyone out of position, so your DC is playing ST etc, but make sure your GK is playing out, or dont play one at all.

Change your freekick and corner takers to your worst players as well, most people forget this I think.

If you can, watch other matches in your league and support the ones you want to win to take over that 7th spot from you. It may also create animosity and make others watch your games and support your opponent, which is good for you! lol

good luck! I am tanking 2 of my 5 accounts this season, simply because the other 3 are in 1st place, which is a surprise since I planned on tanking at the first game and saw that I had the best team in 3 leagues, so decided to go for it. Strange to see no Tommy tokens in 3 of the leagues out of 5.

It happened with me as well. I was 11th in league, out of cup and CL. I decided to tank and I started winning and entered top 7. I got angry and trained all my players at hard again and again at 0% cnd. They got injured. Out of 20, 10 got injured and lost 3 straight matches 3-0 as no complete squad was present. 10th again!!!! YO!!!!!

The starting average condition was 70%

I feel a jackass vs Nordeus....

..and of course now I stop tanking and I'm going to win the remaining 11 matches

keep going. your players will lose morale and you will start losing. dont give up after only one game
