How many levels of Academy are there in total and how many days does it take to train youth in the highest?

My 24T 1st youth player performed really well and trained really fast, where as the youths I got from the market (in general) need a year to train up and start playing well
I think the equivalent 18yo on the market wont be as fast training unless you're paying the max for him. I've only seen a $7M player once this season, managed to bag a Q39 5* MC who's valued at 6.2M and he's played REAL badly.
Last season I bought 2 5* 18yo and they're only coming good this season.

Need your opinions, continue to play this Q39 MC for my CL game (down 4-nil) or use green boosters to heal up my 2 MCs who were playing awesome before they got injured.

I'm also down 2-nil in my cup, losing against this money man
He started a month after me and has miles better Q, look at his team full of SA's as well :O

It all comes down to whether you buy tokens or not. if you dont buy tokens, then buying the youth academy recruit is NOT an option.

    Hey guys and girls

Just going update you on my progress, and look for suggestions ^^

Last season I set out with the goal of winning the elusive treble in my 3rd season of this game. Naturally I read the forums and was wondering whether I would get it due various factors that this game engine may or may not do.

My league season start with a few wins 2 draws and a loss early on which set me round top 5, however, after the 2 draws and the loss my team kicked into gear and won every league game left in their season.

Champions league also started in the same kind of way. I one win then a loss and draw left me languishing in 3rd position 2 points off the pace to qualify for knockouts, however again my team kicked into gear again progressing to the semi-finals where I lost both games 2-1 and 2-0 respectively to a 4-4-2. My 4-5-1 v style didn't seem to stop his players as suggested by the counter-formations, but such is life. I was happy to get the cash for most of the rounds anyway . The guy I lost to won the Champ league so I didn't feel to bad about losing since he followed through to win it.

For my cup, my team fortunately did not slack in it, I had one tough last 16 round which saw me just go through on a 4-3 aggregate, then in the finals I went 1-0 up with him scoring in the dying minutes, remained 1-1 all the way through extra time and went to penalties for the 1st time ever for me, I was a little worried since I had never done it. Also was happy in a sense that my keeper was a penalty kick saving specialist (this special ability didn't help at all) we went 3-3 then I missed one and my opponent scored going 3-4 then my DMC stepped up and held his nerve going 4-4 with him to take the last kick to win, he rocketed it over the bar and my next player converted and he sent another wide leaving me with a win (5-4 on penalties)

This past season was my most successful in my 3months managing my team, I will again try to get go for the elusive treble but will see early on how feasible that is. Level 4 (Dreamer) brings in a new concept for me where I can negotiate with others for players, however I don't really have many friends in top 11 so this function I might not use as much. Also as someone who doesn't get promotion videos or buy tokens, I face the challenge of maintaining my team while trying to compete at a high level and not wasting any bid since it could potentially hamstring my squad. (35t seasons since I started)

A number of my players have likely past it, I will be looking to replace my keeper, and perhaps bring in a new striker and test him out, however my young one who is 120 this season has performed well even though he is quality is not high.

The thing that I will likely have to do is experiment a little bit with new acquisitions that I get and see if they perform better for me or not in these opening games in the league.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, any advice, tips that you have don't be scared to pop them in a mail or reply to this post

Wish you guys the best of luck with all competitions this season.

    Regards
    Wilderness

S/A vs Skill Points. So I have been considering this now for a few days. Only one player in my team has a S/A and thats my mc with dribbler, my old keeper had one on one stopper, but now serves on the bench. So my question is, 50 skill points is kinda alot for a new S/A, I would like to give my DC ST AMR/AML players one, but im wondering what is more beneficial Skill Points or a S/A. Each of my players in a season earns roughly 50 skill points ( Even my youngest/highest value players ) So I have to pick, it will cost me 45 skill points to get my ST to 6*, but 50 and he could get Free Kick / One on One scorer.

What is your opinion and which do you recommend more?

*Note I never train my players until last day of season, I have saved up 80 greens / 60 reds. Not a lot but for me its actually a massive amount. I have surived off 5 seasons of getting 2 packs a day. Since my other friends don't stand me packs, even though I send everybody on my friendlist packs everyday.

Also what is maximum amount of friends you can have? Just to see what I am missing out on packs wise.

There is no max. of friends, but you can only use 1 of each pack a day (you will find sometimes when more than one is sent you will have it available the next day)

Unless you have tons of greens, for PT, I would not make an SA on anyone unless they are a super trainer, you won't be able to keep up his stars. Trust me on this one! The SAs are nice and all, but it is a HUGE hit in Q unless you are willing to put ~100 greens on the player to keep him up.
If you are willing, look at his current attributes and pick the SA that best matches his higher skills.
Expressed above is my own opinion. Your results may vary.

How do you find a fast trainer? I have always went off the basis, the younger the player and the higher his value the faster he trains. But I have a 22 years old, who has a value of 2.5m. Who trains 3 times as fast as my 19yr old who is worth 9m? I saved up skill points, and he had 19 saved, while my 9m value player had 6. Both played the same number of games, he didn't get mom every game. So im sure how im meant to determine a fast trainer.

People say 24t youth. But they are 15Q less than my main team. I mean are they THAT FAST, that they can make it up + the rest need for a new star?

Scouts aren't in my budget I work off 35 tokens a season.

Value is a good guide, but not always. The managers above you sell the free youth they get, and their prices are usually fairly high, but they are *not* fast trainers, they're ducks. Basically the fastest trainers are from fictional sounding team names, with very even attributes, and extremely high price tag.

Also remember to plan ahead, if you are training an extra role or SA, do it BEFORE you add Q to the player, they all slow down the better their Q.

I was unaware of that last part, actually I was unaware of most of that. I see some players for around 12m value, but when I bascially have to go off league funds due to poor cup perfomances, I struggle to find the budget to fork out 3/4 of my money on one player when my squad requires a boost of 3-4. I guess until I can make a good cup / CL run, ill be stuck with medicore trainers.

    THANKS FOR GREAT ADVICE

The last few seasons I have been testing out the Youth Academy, since Ive finished building there (12 days). Ive got several of them in my team, and have been happy with them.

I just got a 24T ST who did fantastic in his debut, we'll see how that goes.

The Boot Room (new managers zone)-b-ark.jpg 18T, not fastest but still good trainer

The Boot Room (new managers zone)-jr.png 24T well spent, he will be Bobo's replacement.

I tend to play the guys I *trust* in important matches, regardless of stars. So if the injured guys are your "go-to" men you might think about healing/boostering them, but it depends on how many you have and are willing to spend. Do you think you can come back from that score deficit? Playing in all tourneys is *hard* juggling who plays which game! good luck!

Really>? Because on my farmed teams I buy them too. But only the more expensive ones...not MCs. They play well and their training speed is better than any other player on the team. I think it wouldn't be my choice on my 35T team, but I *could* it is an option, you can even buy a Scout on 35T if you are patient.
