A crucial win for our sub team as we rose to become the league leader. Excellent defending from our lone DC (MoM) and GK as well as the attacking players. We were late to change formation and sub in players but it turned out to be a good formation after changing 1 low Q MC for a first team MC.

It was a gamble by us to not make further changes to the formation and went with 3W defenders man-on-man marking

Previous #1 EC FC has dropped 8 points in the last 3 games (losing directly to #2 [MU FC] and #3 [XD FC]

The best possible outcome has happened where we won against EC and XD AND XD won against EC

Sweet Victory for FC Sakura

FC Sakura met today at high noon our friendly rivals FC Massimo. We have beaten this team in the CL-Final two seasons ago, but lost last season 3 times (2 x League and in the CL-Final). This year we play in different leagues and met now in the CL-Quarterfinals. Our opponents had to play their league-game just a couple of minutes before our match, which gave us of course a bit of advantage. After the experiences of last season and our farm-team Teresa FC we started very defensive and waited for the chances to counter them. In the 45th minute Massimo took the lead with a long-range-shot. Well, at halftime I brought an offensive midfielder for one defender and changed to "normal" and played now instead of the Narrow Diamond a 3-1-2MC-AML/AMR-2 system which paid off after substituting a MC with a fresh player for the MC-position. Until the 58th minute we lead 3-1, later in the game already leading 5-1. Then the 5-2 because of a free-kick, but Daniel Troyer, our AMR who was subsituted at halftime, scored in the 87th minute his third goal to an unexpected 6-2 victory. Never thought that we could manage such a result and we are now really positive to advance.

Yesterday's league-game proved to be a difficult game and we were lucky to draw 1-1. But we still lead by 5 points !!!

Berkshire Utd won against the third placed team 3-1 and took off some pressure as we are now 4 points ahead of the fifth placed team. Today an easy 6-0 victory, so we are on track to qualify for the CL next season. I see our team as favorites in tonight's CL-Quarterfinal clash.

FC Dreamhunter won their league-game convincingly and still leads by 5 points, also Teresa FC managed to win and is in the lead by 6 points. No new injuries occured, so in two days we might be able to have our midfielders ready again!

How is everyone getting on this season? I have managed to balance my goal scoring with some hard defending. This is by far my best season to date.
