Dont call them counter formations then, call them formations that work better vs specific formations. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. based on this logic, there is a perfect "counter" for every formation. You just have to know what it is. Funny becuase I saw several results today where narrow diamond lost to 4-4-2 classic. Seems that it is not the perfect coutner for it anymore, but i still see that it works most of the time. I guess your coutner depends on your instructions.
