Ive always only plaid my first team in the league, its hard enough trying to keep my second team fit for the cups!, priority has always got to be the league as it has the biggest prize value.

So all the good managers that have won the treble are bozo's ???????????? by utilizing their squads to save players getting tired or having friends to send a pack each day, or watching videos etc ???
How did you come up with this new revolutionary idea ?????? oh wait I guess by losing right ??????
Thanks for the input but have to say you are right by saying it's very simple !!!!!!!!!!! save energy by losing and not playing as Saransh said Genius !!!!!!!!!!!!
Tank = put an illegal formation, to end the league in 8th position or worst, and, be in the same level the next season, without loose 1 star.
I tank 2 seasons, and play to win the league 2 seasons. That's why I say that I play in light mode at now
I was during lots of months fighting for the league every season and I was tired.
Tanking 2 seasons, I use 2 months to train and have my team full of 7 stars players or 8 near 9. So, one tank, basically to train.
So Khris, you tank 2 seasons to get a squad of 7-8 star players for 1 or 2 seasons? To me this doesn't make much sense, seems like a bit too much. Either you'll end up in a league full of token buyers with the strongest teams on your lvl, still in danger of not winning, or you could try and influence the league draw with adding friends specifically. For the last you wouldn't need to tank... (2 seasons)
I am 3 seasons in the same level, 2 of tanking + 1 to win the league. I do that, just and simply because I don't wanna have a game controlling me, I was 10 seasons, playing every match, learning how this game works, and now just want to relax. In truth my only target with tanking, is to have 10* of speed/resistance, 9* for sure winning the level. For me it works, and at the end... I am level 12 and have today... only 9 players in the market... only 2 of 5*... so really I too prefeer don't go so fast.... for some reasons... (-.-)'
And... nopt, I don't wanna play against friend teams, I have friends of better level to buy their 2* academy players that have 5* for me, (if I can) because there is really a problem in the market in high levels.... (-_-)'''' negotiations.. academy... or nothing...
being promoted is not a good thing all thi time. you lose a star and have to spend tokens to replace your weaker players. I am convinced from here that I should tank because it will save me tokens and allow me to competitoin better. I was reading the rastamane thread on his tests with conditioning. is this true?
It's just that from my experience, from the way Nordeus pairs teams, it gets progressively more difficult to get results the stronger your team is. That is, if you'r a limted farmer/spender. I don't think the league draw is that different from the cup draw if you'ld disregard friends and friends of friends.
I am considering tanking this season if we're not climbing in the rankings soon. Thats with a team of 5 star avg with 3 scouts, so 1st squad avg is near 6 stars. All while my 3 star avg team is blasting its way through all their competitions (same lvl). If I decide to tank, I will try a completely different approach. I'll focus on getting my avg Q down before next season, selling all high Q players over 25 years old and buying free agents. With that healthy amount of cash I will buy young 4 star fast trainers to supplement my team. Improving a 4 star team after the draw is a lot easier then a 5 star team. Back to this season though, if my most expensive 5 star NG's can barely keep up during the season, I know I'm out of my league and have to drop a few nodges.
