Personaly I dont like that system!, My take on it is to get the best from you wide men you need them to work in tandom and to do this effectively you should play one of these formations!, 4-4-2 (DL,DC.DC,DR,ML,MC,MC,MR), 4-3-3(DL,DC,DR,ML,MC,MR) 4-1-3-2(DL,DC,DC,DR,DMC,ML,MC,MR) 3-1-4-2 DL,DC,DR,ML,MC,MC,MR), this way you have four flank players always and two working together on both sides!, play mixed passing!, defend own half, mixed phocus passing, attack, normal or hard tackling, zonal marking! play offsides and dont force counter attacks!, I like to control the middle, this way the team is balanced from back to front!, you can play 3 at the back if you want to go more attacked minded or 4 to tighten things up!, try to get the midfield flank players with dribble special ability and the CM with playmaker or freekick specialist, two strikers minimum as you always want plenty of attack in the box!, depending on your starting formation, you can take off a MC if playing 4 or DC if playing 4 and throw on a third ST for more threat if your not doing so well!. it also works the other way if your playing 4-3-3! you have got your nose infront 1-0 or 2-0 and you want to close the door at the back?, then take off the middle ST and put on a DMC or MC to go to 4-1-3-2-OR-4-4-2.
Making sure your wide players are HOT PROSPECTS or SCOUTS will get you best results!, its no good buying a 5* 4 or 9 player if he not a HOT PROSPECT as your probably getting a slow trainer and what looks like a good buy is actualy a waiste!, these simple steps can save you a headache later on with just taking a view checks before buying!.
