What happens if your team have only 34 years old players and they all retire before next season?

The game gives you computer generated free retiring 2 and 3 star old farts.
As many as needed to have a minimum of 14 players.

I admit that I may have had lost possession at minute 59 of the first game, but it doesn't justify all the hardship against a mug team with only 3 decent players and everyone out of position.

Look at the story of the second game.
I had all the ball possession and supremacy over a team without manager, full of old bot players and all out of position! How did I only qualify by miracle?
His best player was an old bot striker playing in the defence. Christ. What logic there is in this?
