My 24 years' old goalkeeper is going to finish his 7th season with 266 appearances and I've never tanked.

I will try to put the mark on 400. He's one of the fastest trainers I had and the highest rated GK I've seen, however I don't have the means to keep him 5*/6*/7* forever as he'll become slower. With 6 stars his skill progress is still around 95% per game and he gets over 50% with hard training. If he reaches 6 stars again next season, I'll probably be able to keep him for 4 seasons more, maybe 5. It will all depend on his training speed in the future.

I bought this guy from a manager playing 2 levels above me. I don't know if he was from the Youth Academy or if the previous owner bought him in auction and resold, as he was near 6 stars when I got him at 18.

As an old T11 manager (this season is the 43rd and still not tired of this game ), I have experienced the old T11 where there weren't skill points yet. So, when they changed it and put skill points, those times players gained almost the double % of how they do now.
One day I found this striker 18 years old that could gain 200% in every official game (like 8% for every 1% of physical condition).
So, I decided to spend a lot of green bags to train him as much as I could. (not a single cent spent. Only tokens from videos.)
The result?? I kept him like till 30 years old (12-13 seasons), If I'm right.
During that period I won the league every single season, so imagine how many skill points he gained in all his career for keeping him so many seasons.

If I had 45 games (average) every season, he must have had 540-585 appearances.
Let's say 500+ to be sure.

Obviously I can't prove it, because it was long time ago and it's not reported in the history of my team.
Anyway, that was my best player ever. Good times.

so,Özil retired today(sept 20th 2014). 17 long seasons and 752 appearances and 419 goals for AC ARSENAL. i will miss my golden oldie.
Thierry Henry will replace him as the golden oldie now. he's 30 now(beginning of season 21) and is on 649 goals and 545 appearances.
