Defenders better corner takers?

Hi,
I am currently using my striker with free kick ability to take corners.
Last match he got injured and random players took the corners.
My striker assisted none corners in the last match even though there were 3 corners he crossed.
In the 84 minute my DL Kyrgiakos 71 quality 5 stars crossed his first corner and my MC Kostopoulos headed it in goal.
In the 85 minute my DR Badoi 70 quality 5 stars crossed his first corner too and my MC Varvodic headed it in goal.

So,
Are defensive players better corner takers? Has anybody noticed it? What do you think about it?

My defender has corner taker SA and he's very good at corners - whenever I can't play him, I get less goals from corners. I don't have a clue if that's because he has the SA, or because he's a defender or just random. I like to get defenders to take the corners though because that way my strikers and midfielders who are better at scoring are in the box.

yeah im with John. I use my defender/defending midfielder with the best crossing stat because I want my offensive players there to head it home

My rule of thumb is if you don't have a corner specialist then use your flank players, ML,MR,DL,DR, they make good corner takers!.

I used to believe defenders who is better at taking corner (on TE).

But I changed my believe.
My FK ST got 30 goals and 31 assist (my team scores 90ish goals) on league last season.

This season, on 35T league EIII my 1 on 1 GK made 4 assist (my team scores 5 goals).

I have a Striker that's very good on corners. His backup is an aging MC who rarely gets into the starting line-up. Both are very good though. I do have a DC who is top notch with Free Kicks...which is his specialty.

In my last 3 seasons the top league assist man was my DL with corner ability

Thank you everybody for their replies...
Now I put my DL as left corner kick taker and my DR as right corner kick taker. Both are either footed.
I will write to tell you how it worked out.
