It wouldn't be a new season if I didn't drop the Cup opener to an inferiorly-rated team who controlled play in spite of a lack of possession. Such was the case today. If I've learned anything from this game, its that having a deep squad of strong players doesn't matter nearly as much as having a starting XI of highly-rated players, supported by a bench of 1-2* players who never see the pitch. I don't like that, so I guess I'm doomed to this fate.
