Wondering when is the best to renew the contract of a player that has one year left.

Wait until the following season when it expires? Can the player leave after the season completes? or refuse to sign the following season?

or just renew on the current season?

Hi welcome to the forum..
Normally, yes..they will leave on the 1st day of the new season if u are not going to renew their contracts..
Best is to renew immediately which players U think are very good for your team in the long-run.that will motivate him to player better for your team for the left of the season..other than that, the ones u still need consider then leave until 3-4 games b4 the season end then u decide...if overall he perform badly then u should not renew.just sell it off (normally the trick to sell it off is you change his name to some famous star in that possitions..like David beckam or Christiano Ronaldo or Messi and etc..bet people will jump to fight for bidding them...kekke) then u can save the cash n token to buy a better player in the 1st few days of the season...

I like to up the contracts of my long term players before they expire, (usually on day one of the Season before I apply any points in hand) I think you get a 3 ssn instead of 2 length if you do that, which in turn means you lock in a lower salary for one more season.

I'm in season 11 now, and won 6-7 titles. But the contract renewal has always baffled me!! Thanks for the feed back. Champs league and cup always get powned after the qualifying. But usually by teams that have spent in the transfer market.

Yes, Cup is hard since the managers in it level(s) above you can just spend a few T on the Auctions and have a Scout team from your perspective.

So true..in fact...Im at level 8 but my team sure is at level 10-11..coz I have amazing quality..but the problem is the teams left at knock-out stage for CUP are for sure the best teams at that level (10-11) meant they can compete at level 12-14...so virtually in order to win the CUP we have to face the teams that above us 5-6 level instead..

In our case, we still proud that we've got 2 silvers and 1 bronze..we came so close at level 6 to get the CUP since actually we were the better team in final and we were dominating the match (giving the fact he at level 8 or 9 i could not remember exactly) when the result was 1-1 but just unluckily our best MC got injured at minute 72 and he was also Freekick specialist..last 12 mintues we had 3 free kicks but we could not convert any of them..and we lost by 1 goal from our opponent by his corner kick...his GK was brilliant, he saved 5 amazing shot from our strikers and AMR/AML...

If the contract expires you have 7 days to sign the New contract before the player lives the club, just any any player you buy on the auction.

The time of contract Will be 3 years If you sign right away or 2 If you sign next season, so it us the exact same thing.

If you sign them on day one of next season the prize money Will be less, since there market value Will also be lower.

If you have less that 14 player with contract sign, the engine Will assign you 3* old player with 1year of contract to complete the 14 players, you just have to sack them( it is free) and sign the players.

Yep, always wait and re-sign the players on the first day of the new season that their contract has expired, you have a 7 day window so don't worry about them upping sticks and walking away on a free. Their value has dropped and therefore are cheaper to sign.

If you are secure in your league table, don't apply skill points to players whose contract is about to expire. This will lower their salary and signing bonus even more when you do resign them on day 1 of the new season.

After you sign them, the skill points reappear and then you can apply them.
