I better not then, the pressure of living up to the name might break him.

League: Again its Swings n 'Roundabouts for the Buffs as they draw 2-2 away v 2nd bottom Club - conceding the equaliser in the last 5 minutes from a FK....again.

McCoist opened the scoring in 20 minutes but the Buffs were pegged back 10 mins before half-time. Winger Baxter restored the advantage immediately after the restart and the Buffs squandered a few more chances going into the last 10 mins. The home side then created a flurry of chances with McGregor saving 2 FKs in 5 mins.....but a 3rd left him helpless as the hosts grabbed an unlikely draw.

Once more the Buffs were punished with 2 yellow cards and gave up too many FKs in dangerous positions.

Cup: Celtic Rangers secure a 5-1 away win in the first leg. Shock of the day was Thomson giving 2 assists and failing to get on the scoresheet.

Mid-season report card for Rugby's Better:

Cup: Knocked out by a higher level team in round 3, went down fighting in a decent effort
CL: Topped the pool (despite an annoying 89th-minute goal loss to the bottom team), trailing 3-2 going into the home leg of the last 16
League: 4 wins in a row has pushed the team up to 2nd in the league, so the overall goal of qualifying for Cl looks on track. This season has thrown together some pretty good teams in the league. On overall average quality RB has been consistently the 2nd or 3rd highest ranked team, however that's based on a good all round squad, trying to compete in all 3 competitions. Several of the other teams have very good "A" teams, belying their overall average. And the overall runaway league leader (ToanKiller FC) has 2 9*s and 2 8* players in his 1st XI, and no-one lower than a scout. I hate to think how many tokens he's spending on personal training, the rate of quality increase for his players is too fast for even maxed out power training.

    Galactico FC update
League: The previous evening league match was contested between the two contenders for the runner-up spot in the league. The leader sat back and watched the game unfold with his feet up on his desk as the two teams battled it out for the honour.

For the Galacticos it was a very important match to show how they would cope against similar rated opposition and wanted to show their intent to challenge for their ever diminishing title hopes. However, for Rabbs FC this match proved worthless to their manager as he did not even show up for the game. So it was Galacticos game to lose.

The opponent lined up 4-2MC-2-2 which was a unique formation not used much elsewhere in the league. The Galacticos tried to counter the formation and exploit the space in their middle with a lack of a DMC and played 4-1-3N-1-1 formation trying to outnumber their midfield. The game got off to a good start with a goal by MC Kosmala shooting a 30 yard screamer into the net. The Galacticos continued to dominate the match with the opposition looking to foul the Galacticos using cynical methods which resulted in one of their MC sent off for a second yellow on the 49th minute! The Galacticos domination proved to be too much for their midfield which now resulted in the Galacticos severely outnumbering their midfield by their 3MC (+1 DMC + 1 AMC) as opposed to their 1 MC and their wingers. The Galacticos again dominated the proceedings with Meftouh missing a header from a double corner (Thats 4 consecutive double corners the Galacticos did not take) and a one on one opportunity squandered from a wide shot.

The missed chances proved to be vital as the opponent scored from a curler by their ST with a probing pass by their AMR on the 80th minute. This happened right before the subs and formation change were made on the 81st minute and left the manager shocked and absolutely fuming. The manager made additional subs but they were not brought on until the 88th minute (WHY SO LONG NORDEUS?!) and changed to 4-5-1V but the long sub buffer time made this change of tactic too little too late and the game ended on a 1-1 draw on a game the Galacticos SHOULD HAVE WON! (FFS NORDEUS!). The goal they scored was completely against the run of play as even after that they continued to put their bodies on the line and block the shots made by the team.

Statistics all pointed to the Galacticos win but nope. I am LITERALLY SO DONE!
