My friends sometimes appear in CL because they usually finish in top 4 positions, but I don't remember i've seen them in cup.
I think it is random for cup and CL, but in league they appear very often.

I tried it once having a no friends league. Hated it. Very boring. Random lower quality teams. Got the Undefeated Achievement and every time I see it I think 'boring'.

If someone of higher Quality sends me a friend request I accept. If I want to change the shape of my friends list I add teams from the latter stages of CL.

I want to win but I don't need to win. I'd rather enjoy being second that be bored with 1st.

the better league I've played I think was season 13, with 2 good and active teams, one Italian and one Bulgarian with the Liverpool, I won the league but really was not easy, and I liked this sensation.

If one day I wanna win 10 consecutive leagues without tank, I will add friends with lower Q. teams, and If I want a easy treble, too will sell all my good players and will go for it

but for now I don't wanna go for this way... no trophy hunter? and the 8th Champions Leagues I've won of consecutive levels I'm a hunter but with my method and ma patience LOL

As I said I don't make friends with same level now, it doesn't matters he is strong or weak...Now at level 14 there are no bots and mostly active managers...

I don't want to feel monotonous by playing the same manager again and again...

Yes if you 2 are on same server. That is how our O.M.A League works, we have each other as friends and we now play 2nd season together.

Yes and the easiest way to find out if someone is in the same server, is to be a competitor in a auction or a competition.
If you have 10 friends same server, same lv, it's very possible to have not all but 3-5 in the same league.
