    Buying from scouts

Why they cost so much 50 tokens who has got that much for one player must be the ones who spend real money ???

not necessarily - there are many offers you can complete that simply require you to place a monetary deposit with some sites to gain tokens. my last one was to sign up with casino.com and place a £20 deposit - it didn't state anywhere that i had to actually wager it either. once that was (eventually) confirmed, I received 594 tokens which enabled me to buy at least 4 scouted players easily and i haven't spent a single penny.

Scouts aren't cost effective. Better buy young expensive 5* players (known as nordgens) on auctions or through negotiations. Train them a lot, spend green packs on them, if they have good growth, with ordinary training they will be useful for few seasons.
Scouts have ways slower growth, they are good for one season, next season they lose advantage and nordgens become more useful....

LOL I had near 20 Scouts in my team some of then used for 10 seasons, since 22.

In my case the experience is another... 90% good Scouts... can say that between the 20-30% of these were players that won 1/2 League or 1/2 Champions League they, alone...
The last i bought is Hasselbaink and was in the 2 tops last season... if I remember well LOL..

I think that at the end exists all posibilities with the Scouts, Nordgens and Academy players.
We have to see only 2 things of them: how fast they train and how they contribute in the team.
I had excellent players from these 3 places and maybe, in my case the case I had more luck (in % of good players bought) was in the Scout list.
But thats my case, ofc. ... here we can read different stories...

I agree, we have different approaches to game, different experiences etc. I have nordgens in my team on level 13 which were bought back on level 9, they still have 5* without PT. I payed them under 3T each back then (when market was normal, not crazy like this). They won 2CL and Cup so I can say they payed off for me.
I like trained players more than scouts because scouts have similar/equal skills. So I'd rather buy 5* ST which has defence=avQ-20, attack and physical avQ+10 than scout who has all equal skills, but stronger defence (not needed for ST) and a lot higher token price.
If someone wants to buy scouts, I would suggest mildfielders and offensive players with FK or Corner SA or defenders with Aerial SA.

Different ppl have different take. It is not correct to say scout isnt the way to go or training a nordgen isnt the best way.

For me, the right scout will be with you until they retire. So 50 tokens doesn't seem too dodgy at all. As opposed to Power training a nordgen or Academy player - you need abt 300-400 green packs which, if you don't collect, you more or less would spend tokens to get them (could be >50T).

I've had a few scouts who stayed with me for 10 seasons and was top assists providers & goalscorers.

There is no right way to pick a scout but personally I prefer to go with dual role players unless they are MC or ST.

I don't think you need so much packs for nordgens. If you spend 1-2 packs per day for one nordgen, that would mean a lot for one player in season You don't need to power train some player a lot or to PT whole team. Choose instead few good players (which are in form, or which need specific strong skill, like gk defence or st attack) and spend packs on them
ST's are the best nordgens (if you buy one with good growth) Increase their att skill, when they get in form, they will grow like crazy because a lot of MOTM prizes (that also depends on formation, but that is another part of story...)

If you buy good nordgen, even without PT he can progress well...

Yes that is what i do, I spend 1-2 packs a day to get 5 SP per day. I can collect 200 cones a season before I decide what to do. That has gotten me a few 5-6 star dual roles players with SA within 3 seasons - I have Will Block a playmaking DMC/DC who is 23 now but still a 5 star player, Connor Taker is 21 yo playmaking MC and will reach 6 stars this season, Mark Closely is 19 year old striker with FK ability that is most likely surpass the rest and may even get to 7*. I have a few others in various teams (all academy players not off the transfer lists).

In my previous post, I was referring to power training. Not normal budget training.

For those who power train to get the player up by miles and miles of quality within a week, in bulk they need tokens to get 300-400 green packs. If they don't have this handy thru collecting free greens, some usually use up Tokens which would mean you spend more than 50T.

So in that context, I would rather get a 50T scout rather than spend tokens to get greens to PT. To train fast trainers, I prefer the 5SP a day method - you would get 200 training cones easily.

All scouts are fast trainers but it's hard for them to gain progress as hitting the 7th star slow down the progress a lot, and the youngest scout you can find is age 22... A 18 year old academy token player could play 4 more seasons.

When done properly a scout can remain 7* until age 27...

The question to ask is what your intentions are each season?

Are you in the cups, or have you already been knocked out?

For me, at level 23, as I have still got a fair way to go until I am top of my server, I think using a lot of tokens on scout players isn't the best way to go. I could buy 22 scouts costing 1100 tokens, yet someone a few levels above me will be able to pick up better players on the market for less than 100 tokens - it just seems a bit silly. Once you get to the top of your server I think there is more merit to buy scouts as they will be some of the best players in the game - but even then I'd be wanting to go for the youngest ones and only if they were close to being 7 star.

The question is what you want from each season? You can easily promote and finish in the top 4 (thus giving you CL the year after) without ever having scout players. I have won more leagues than come 2nd/3rd or 4th and I very rarely bother with scouts. The cups seem to be the issue. People start to strengthen their team midway through the season when out of the cups, which to me is a waste as your scout will be back to 5 star by the time he gets to play a cup game in this situation.

Obviously if your goal is to win everything every season then scouts or power training non stop is going to be the way to go, but that will be very cost effective as far as Tokens go.

I personally like knowing I have a small arsenal of tokens and packs ready for when I hit the top of my server - and then I will go all out to have the best team going. There are several at my level that seem to be using loads of tokens each season (there is a guy who has 22 scouts a season - then replaces them at the start of every new season - that must be costing him a fortune!) - but they are still at my level as we only get promoted once per season regardless of how good the team is. He's won 2 more CL and 1 more Cup than me in the 23 seasons to date we have played - but that has obviously come at a huge cost to him financially (or he is spending ALL his time farming to be competitive).

I'd say save your tokens, buy high 5 stars and work on a system of trying to have more tokens on the first day of the new season than you did on the first day of the last - then really go for it when you hit the top of the server.
