Why didn't my Team go though to the next round?

Champions League Group Phase. I ended up Joint second with another Team. Both teams won 2, drawn 2 and lost 2. the two games against each other were drawn. My Team ended up with plus 3 goals, the other team with minus 1.
Although this would mean that my team should have qualified as Second placed for the next round, the other Team became Second, my team third. Can somebody explain this???

Thats not correct. First points, then goal difference, then the Team that scored more goals and if that is all the same, then the direct Games against each other. In the real world my Team would have been second.

The rules are just fine and same like in real world. In UCL goals against last placed are not counted.

In UCL, point >> head to head >> goal differrent >> goal score


plus : It's not like in Premier league that point >> goal differrent >> goal score >> head to head
