Some more fantastic input. Yes, younger academy players!!! I would take that down to 14-15 even. You don't want to bog down players with too much to do but I would like to be able to have an academy roster. Maybe not introduce that until a certain level so you don't scare off the new players?

But I have to reject the majority of academy players, even if they are free because I have a 22 man roster I have to stick to and damn it, I don't want to let any of them go. I have a 12 token who is 1 point from 4* and I have like 4 days left......I just do not have a place and he is almost exactly the same quality as my 20+ goal per season RW was when he came out of my academy. Having a U21 roster wouldn't be that hard. Don't absolutely have to have real games for them but with a strict roster limit and no loan system people like me who develop both academy and nordgens have very little wiggle room.

Hell, you can even make it so you have a much bigger roster limit but can only register 22 players per season for competitive matches and the only way to add a new player to that 22 is if one leaves the squad. I just want to develop them.

I agree on being able to choose the roles of academy players. Another irritant is that you can't just train wingers. There are tons of players who play LW or RW, LB or RB but would be lost playing centrally in reality. Why on earth should I have to train a damn winger to play centrally? Anyone heard of Cesar Azpilicueta? The man is a natural RB who starts at LB for the soon to be English champions and even a very talented, true LB they paid 28M pounds for from Atleti couldn't force him out. The man might be the best defender in the EPL but even a mentally ill rhesus monkey wouldn't play him at center half and he damn sure didn't have to spend hundreds of hours training there to be able to move to the left side.

As for stats, as of now I keep a hard cover writing book with pages of stats and results for each season. Though I lost a big chunk of season 2 because my screen shots got deleted somehow before I wrote it out.

A HELL YES to the half time ratings. I try to watch very closely to see who is making the big tackles, who is creating chances. But the commentary does not match the rating at all. I had a game where one of my CB's was making tackle after tackle after tackle. Last line of defense repeatedly shutting down the opp offense. Team kept a clean sheet, opp had 1 shot on target, he had a 6 rating.......While his partner in the middle was a ghost, never saw his name, got an 8 and MoM......

Certainly getting cautioned affects their ratings and obviously makes it possible to get sent off so I am more likely to take off someone with a yellow. Offensively if they are scoring/assisting I tend to leave them in. But I had one match where my CAM had no goals or assists and was MoM with an 8. In a game where I had 2 players with 2/1 each. Again, not a clue. He may very well have been running the offense and been the key that opened up the opp......but I could have subbed him out thinking he wasn't producing.

P.S.........For this message board. Please, for the love of god STOP SIGNING ME OUT. I literally have to cut and paste my posts because by the time I finish them I have to sign in again. This is not my bank account or the F#$%ING NSA headquarters.

I am a Kentucky fan (save the comments, I am very touchy about it right now) and they have the most active message board I have ever seen. I go back in there after being away from the site for weeks at a time and I am still signed in and ready to post. It isn't that hard.
