What is it with all these teams that have 'FC' in their names?

Isn't there about 50% or more of all the teams that play in Top Eleven that have 'FC' in any part of the club names?

Normally either at the beginning or the end of a club name with perhaps the exception of one of my friend clubs, erster FC Puma which has the FC in the middle. Whats the real reason for all this?

Personally I think it looks stupid because FC is basically 'football club' but we already know that they are a football club, I'd like to see some people use a bit of imagination and have 'City' 'United' 'Knights' 'Kings' 'All Stars' etc...

There's so many teams called Galatasaray, Barcelona and Man United...

Is about football so why it should be stupid :D ? Is a football game so is normal to have KC,FK,CF,FC

so KFC is also stupid? :p

F.C. = football club ... now i hope you figure yourself that all clubs have it ... even barcelona indeed is FC barcelona , Real Madrid is FC REAL MADRID ... and so on .... even if you use one single name the truth is "FC" for all ..

That is because it was the default name of the club when your first logged into the game and you didn't change it.

it is becoz it is added by default when creating a team...and many ppl dont bother changing it

i think it's more because they don't think having "FC" in their name is stupid lol

I still went with the assumption that y'all knew.... hence Newark City..... yeah technically it would be Newark City Football Club.... and if I had a logo, it would probably have NCFC on it somewhere....

I would like more actual names.... and not all just "insert your name here" FC....

In my L15 league, even with 14 active clubs, Yes all teams are active, just managers don't watch every game. 8 of the 14 teams in my league end with "FC" I will admit some teams do suit having FC but not nearly every team in the entire game. lol.

might have to do with the fact that the game will show you as an team name "your name FC"
a lot of people probably don't change that name

Thing is the game offers you to name your team at the beginning of the game, but some probably thought that sounds good enough for them.

Even REAL clubs that have city, town, united, etc. have FC after their name in the UK. Here in Spain it tends to be FC before the name or CD Club Deportivo (Sporting club). There is also AFC - Association Football Club, from where the term soccer comes.

I like a bit of tradition.

My main team Fc Barmalaganet, an amalgamation of my two favourite teams, Barnet and Malaga, reflected in the team colours and the badge.

My experimental team, lower level, different server, is Wobbly FC, because it sounds silly.

I love beating teams called Real Madrid, I adore beating teams called Galatasaray or Manchester United.

Yes I know that every team is technically a 'FC' in the UK but when you look at the league tables you don't see the 'FC' printed on the team unless theres an exception, Like AFC Wimbledon to distinguish from the old Wimbledon and Chester FC to distinguish from the old defunct Chester City.

And AFC Bournemouth.

I agree with you July. The 'FC' tag is pretty useless as ALL teams have it. I see many Sunderland supporters just abreviate their name to SAFC and expect people to know who they're talking about, but the same initials also apply to Southampton.

Incidentally, talking of Bournemouth, I wish they'd kept their original name, as it was a bit out of the ordinary. Originally called: Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic.

Hah... i tried to use 1.FC ProVeN when i started but as the dot is not allowed i used Real ProVeN instead.
One of my friends came up with "SV Hackepeter", simple but awesome, always gives me a good laugh when i watch the live games.

Still makes me smile when I remember a team in my cup competition a few seasons back called, "AWUNCH OF BANKERS"

Honestly i thought that many people lack in fantasy or maybe are a little bit lazy... If they just want use "FC" because they like it it's ok, but i think that most of them don't know what FC stands for... They just don't change it. Anyway a part of FC there are many others in reality: AS, ASR, AC, SC....
