Team of free transfer players

Has anyone managed to create a team of free transfer players? At the moment I have managed to get about 4 or 5 already. But I am only level 2 so they are probably worth getting. I try to get a player under 25 if possible so there will be sell on value.

I know some people seem to follow an unwritten rule of 1 token max for a free transfer player. But where the player play's a number of pistions, or is a good player for your level surely it is worth more then spending one only?

I was wondering if buying free transfer players works at higher levels?
At the very least it must be a good way to earn money by selling them on?

at higher level it`s worth getting free transfer`s as long as they are 29yrs old and younger although the younger the better as you can sell on easier and the reason wages and buying player`s cost more so it helps towards the cost

I have had at most six FAs in a team. It is only really possible at lower levels where people are more willing to sack their guys instead of trying to sell them.

FA's you pay wage cost and are "free" of the cost of market value which you normally pay. This can be a significant amount of money saved if below like level 20 or so.

Because the fee is only a nominal small amount compared to the actual value of a player. The player is also signed from "Free Agent".

I assume the game has nominal amounts for the players to stop teams going in negative balance and getting players for 0?

Yeah, my question was just about a technicality. I see the value of these guys. I picked up a free agent when a striker got injured for six days, late in the season. The cost of a 34 year-old free agent was much easier to bear than bunch of treatment packs!

exactly, sometimes it's WAY cheaper to just get a temp. for a hurt guy.

at my level there aren't any free agents. only sacked retiring players

I did not think of that as a strategy to save on treatment packs. Good idea though I will remember it for the future.

Early in the game before you have established a stockpile of resources, having FAs contribute is a HUGE plus. I quit getting them around level 3 or 4 after I had enough cash to where I didn't worry about it.
