Did you notice that your scouts' list changes on days other than days 1, 3, 4, 9, 13, 17, 21, 25 and 28?
yes. if a player gets purchased a new offering appears.
Always assumed that it was because the player gets bought, so they replace it with a new scout.
how would you know? it is a shared list, not just you.
Yes Negolist is shared
Scout is not
Scout list changes as Cat say when you buy a player, a new one is added
It also changes at certain days, those are the same for every manager.
I have noticed on the first day, that it changed when I logged in again, so here you must watch out
..
Personally I advise against buying Scouts
You could make this calculation (very round numbers)
69 Tokens = 75 Greens
75 greens = 75x1.2 skillpoint = 90 skillpoints (fasttrainer)
You can make an ordinary 5 star fasttrainer very good for that much tokens, and if hes 18 he will continue developing, an 22 yeared has already halved his learning curve (over the hill)
So in my oppinion Nordgens is best value for money/tokens
Gert +1!
It would be competitive if scouts would be 18 years old too, imho :)
But this is not what Cat meant. She meant that the scouts' list is shared.
Given the amount of injuries occurring these days, you should count the expenses for red packs too. This increases the relative cost to make 'nordgens' close to scout list players.
A 5 star (at least midpoint between 5 and 6) fast trainer with gain of 1.2 skill points per hard training session is more or less non-existent in the transfer market these days. If you add into account the position that you need the player to have, that makes the player you are looking for even more rare; going for a 22-23 year old from the scout's list is appropriate, especially if you need immediate results.
Negotiations may be a better option, but this is limited to Level 4 and above.
A Nordgen fasttrainer will gain up to and around +170 from a hard practices match.
My injuries primarily comes from in match action. And this is actually what I do in this game, buy youngsters and train them, and the durability is 5-6 seasons for a nordgen, a scout is more or less 2 good competitive seasons.
So seeing it as an investment IMO Nordgens is the better choise :o
And if you have bought the right one +100 is possible for a trained to scout player
for a refference you can take a look at this guy, he continued too progress fast at scout level, not much action from a Scotlist player

That would be for some nordgens starting at 3 stars. These are not worth if the aim is to reach scout and beyond scout level. Players at least at midpoint between 5 and 6 stars are required. A 5.5 stars fast training (+100 and above) nordgen is hard to find these days on the market, and even harder if you need the player to have specific position(s).
Maybe at your level, the situation is different.
I would also like to add that something may have changed in the transfer market for this season. More 5 star decent or fast training nordgens seem to under perform. The positions available have also been very limited.
there are regular Nordgens (+70-130) rough numbers
And there are Nordgens fasttrainers (+130-170) rough numbers (these also come at 5* and 5.9*)
that is two different categories.
I agree that they can be hard to find, but every now and them the resurface luck and timing is key
Maybe at your level it is easier to get the very fast trainers this season. At my level, the transfer market has been poor so far for this season. I did manage to get a 5 star striker who trains fast (on average, above +100), but he has not been convincing on the pitch so far. See this post: http://forum.topeleven.com/top-eleve...ugh-goals.html .
I also got a nordgen DR with special ability. His average gain was about 90.5%. But, he has been unconvincing on the pitch so far for a player of his quality.

Again, I always assumed that the Scout List is shared because my friend and I were able to see a few similar players in our list.
Only thing I know for sure about the scout list is the vast majority of the players there are rubbish!!!
I don't think that - many seasons, where I was thinking to buy or not from scout list,Quote:
This confirms it; the list is shared.
and thinking
and thinking
never, any player from the list just disappeared (meaning that another manager bought him).
This happened only when the list changed (so it's possible the list I had so far, now is available for another manager).
I would like to see that documented with pictures.
Because my list has only changed when I buy a player or at the exact days, where I also get a mail about it.
It has been like this for as long as I can remember,
No one else, ever bought one from my list... EVER!
Players are replaced when you buy. (Usually by what looks like a better player :p)
Some days individual players change without me buying.
On 'New players on the Scout list" days sometimes there's a wholesale change and sometimes its partial.
There's probably a slight similarity to the TM in that there is a shared pool of players (greater than the number you see) and what you see can vary slightly at the start of each day with a (unspecified) shuffle on Scout list days.
But I don't stare at it much (because usually if I'm looking for something specific its not there) so essentially I just made all this up.:p
I 'm buying scouts from time to time (avg 1/season - or less).
I do that in the beginning, the first days, to take the advantage of gaining by participation during whole the season.
As Gert was saying, nordgen are better investment so I 'm looking for scouts only when I want to enforce my team and don't find the nordgen I want.
So, after the first morning of the season, after bought (or not :() the nordgen I want, I go to scout list.
I 'm checking the list just after checking and marking the players of TM.
Usually going for positions
GK with 1-1
DR-DC, DL-DC,DC-DMC with aerial or DW
MC with F-K
AMR/MR, AML/ML or AML/AMC, AMR/AMC with shadow striker (never found in the right time :p )
ST with 1-1 or F-K
Those players must be 22-23 y.o. , with Q4 / Q9
If I spot one of these players, I 'm waiting till day 3 (maybe for a nordgen or nego player) and then I buy them.
Those players are rare in scout/list (as pcmac saying, usually the list is full of crap players)
that's why I 'm saying that list is uniqe, because those players are still there, till day 3 and some of them for more days.
I believe that if the list was shared, after day 1 the good players would disappeared (bought from others).
* if the scout list is shared, for how many managers ?
** it's simple to make a test. In the new season, spot a good scout and check if he 'll be in the list for the next day, day2.
If I 'll remember, I 'll do that.
I've no real view on this, just wanted to contribute some thought.
Since Nik asks 2 questions I'll answer.
1) How would I know.
2) Bought players are replaced.
What I tried to hypothesise was there is a Scout Market Pool of players that is shared by x Managers and each Manager gets a view of 45 from that list....some on Manager 1's list might be shared with Manager 2, 6 or whatever blah blah
Ofc I could never prove this, or want to ;)
Just a thought ;)
But since its Question Time.........
If its unique this means that the game creates a list of 45 players for every manager? How many managers?
No need to answer because it doesn't actually matter since if you want to buy from the Scout list you choose from what you see or wait. ;)
Here are some pics of my Scout list.
'New' means did not appear on the previous list.
'*' means does not appear on the Next list
I have not bought any players from the Scot Market.
So I decided to build 2 lists, taking my cue from the "New Players on...." message, and then look at the list the next day.
Day 13 - a list of 45 players
http://i60.tinypic.com/21cwewi.jpg
Day 17 - 9 new players. 4 of the new players have the same roles as 4 who dropped off the list, 5 have different roles.
http://i60.tinypic.com/fabuo3.jpg
Day 18 - 3 new players. The 3 new players have the same roles as the 3 who dropped off the list.

I still maintain that changes are due to 2 factors: 1) periodic/scheduled list shuffle and 2) sales. I do NOT claim this proven, just observed. ;)
PS. I can't guarantee I've not missed one or two but I don't think I have
A DML at the top; what a joke.
My list has a DML at the top too.
It seems that those that have the same roles (excluding special ability) are replacements for those that were bought.
Yes, looks like that as I said above. Its too early to be definitive but it is looking like there is a list refresh and then its bought players, from a shared list, being replaced.
I'll get some more pics daily and finish with next refresh just in case things look different.
It is definitive because I have observed the same.
