Average Rating For A GK

Last season I'd have said 6.5-7.5 was a good rating range for a good GK depending on standard of opponent. This Season I'd say it was 7.0-8.0.

My GK has average ratings of 6.9, 6.9 & 7.64 in his 3 Seasons. He's played 143 matches in that time and never rated 5.

I find it unacceptable that 4-5 star goalkeepers of other teams have good ratings and consistency - they seem to be unbeatable or at least have a lot presence, while my GK, despite being 7 stars, is inconsistent and does not appear to make enough important saves. In fact, I have rarely seen him making important saves. He more like absent, and the goals get in as if he is not between the posts.

Bench goalie... 27 games this season, average rating 7.59... In the last 10 games he got rating 8 nine times and rating 9 once...

This is what I noticed too. My second choice GK has an average rating of 8 despite being only 3 stars. But, it will cost too much to bring him to at least 5 star for next season. So, maybe I will have to find another GK next season.

It's matter of form... Sometimes both goalies are in bad form and all you can do is to buy 3rd one...

My 4th choice goalie in the main team had debut yesterday, after 1st choice goalie failed heavily in CL semi-finals and other 2 goalies been in bad form...

on my main team, I now have only one GK. he does ok for me:





but then, on one if my alts, I have this guy:





this team is winning its League with a 3 star goalie. Yes the rest of the team is a bit better q, but still.. it is not always stars that matter. Also expecting high ratings from youth, is something I don't do, until after their first season. That's me, though..

He's rated 6 4 times - 3-1w, 2-2d, 3-1w (missed PK) and 7-1w (missed PK).

PS. Only reason he takes PKs is because missing seems to have no effect on his future form unlike my other players.
