What can I say about today's matches? Not a lot. 1 win and a draw, but just one goal scored.
We started with a league game away in the Czech Republic, against a mid-table team who don't score many, but conceed even less.
Result: DANIEL FC 0-1 LONDON CITY
Goals: Kennedy 16
M.o.M: Mark Hughes
This was a dire struggle and I am grateful that we came away with a win. Dave Kennedy scored the only goal with a powerful drive from a free-kick, in the first half. New signing, Mark Hughes made his debut and claimed man of the match.
Our late match was at home in the Champs League against the team we should have beaten last time out but had to settle for a 2-2 draw. This time, the match was even worse (excitement wise).
Result: LONDON CITY 0-0 SIMON FC
Goals:
M.o.M: Sas (SFC)
We never looked like scoring in this bore draw. Although our goal was never threatened, our attack just never got going, and try as they might, our midfield could not find the space to work their magic. This was our 3rd draw in the 4 group matches played, and we sit 2nd at present with 6 points, two behind the leaders, who we meet in game 6.
During a training session after the game, Lukas Duran strained an ankle (his second injury this season), and will be out for 3 days.
