Teda won a league match 4:1 on road.

One winger scored one goal at 8 mins, and he was good during the whole match so he won the MOM. Another winger who performed very well yesterday did not perform well today. At the 38 min the DMC got his second yellow and was sent off, the opponent scored from a penalty; so we started playing with 10 men since 38 min.

Then I substituted a MC with a DMC, 451V became 412W1 with 10 men; due to the team quality difference, we still dominated the match but we just could not score anymore; at 73 min, I substituted the grandpa and wonder happened after that - 3 mins later, he scored 2:1! We lead again! then I put two wingers, including this grandpa in the AMC positions, at 78 min, one opponent player was sent off, we got a penalty, and we scored again, 3:1, so 10 men on both sides; at 82 min, grandpa scored again, 4:1, we won the match!

Although my second best winger won the MOM, I personally think that the grandpa should take this honor because he only played for about 17 min, and scored twice! And we do not even know if there are any aspects that he impacted the match. He is my hero today, but I will still use him in a conservative way, super-substitute is how I define his role; we will see how he will perform when we play against stronger teams.

I know this might NOT be a good choice for me but since I am really desperate to find a ST, this became the only choice as I stayed late last night but there was even no good ST at all! I can use this new guy in multi-positions, maybe this is his only value, who knows, will see ...

    Palace teams report, Saturday...

Desert Rats FC took the honour this morning, and played an away League match. Chris Passmore (10 rating) and Albert O'Toole (10 rating, MoM) both scored hat-tricks, with Markus Hammes adding a single in a 7-0 win. Jose Carlos Matias and Lorcan Ivory were injured.

    Season 71 - Week 4-s03-l03-league-round-12.png

Palace Terriers played mid-afternoon and had a 2nd vs 3rd match at home. Braces each for Zdenek Krajca and Aaron Record, match score 4-0 and Terriers tighten their hold on 2nd. Downside was a double yellow for DMC Miguel Perez, he misses next match.

    Season 71 - Week 4-s04-l04-league-round-12.jpg

Palace Casuals played mid-evening and broke their winless drought with a 1-0 away win. Defender Sergey Fetisov got onto the end of a free-kick from Mario Dinamarca for the only goal of the match in the 59th minute. Dinamarca had missed a penalty in the first half, and Liam Cashman was on the wrong end of a brutal tackle which got the perpetrator an early bath and Cashman the prospect of 4 days medical treatment. New signing Rasmus Sadi got a cameo appearance in late on in the game and performed well.

With the earlier reported signings, a mini-clearout of lower quality players continues, the two departing this evening were:
Ben De Wree, DC, (age 26, 3*/139Q SA, 200 appearances-12 MoM-9 goals-0 assists), (see below for selling price).
    David Zhelev, DC/DMC, (age 26, 4*/140, 102-3-9-0), $97.4M.

There must have been a real battle royale over Ben De Wree:

At the halfway stage of the season, injury stats are as follows:
Palace Casuals, 20 matches, 4 injuries, 14 days.
Palace Terriers, 18 matches, 4 injuries, 14 days.
Desert Rats FC, 24 matches, 7 injuries, 32 days.

Obviously a very bloody bidding happened, at least 25 - 30 rounds.

    LEVEL 17: 19-3-4 overall record; 68 Goals 19 GA.

    Fixtures:

    Cup (1st round) 3-5 loss, 3-1 win
    Cup (2nd round) 2-1 win, 0-0 draw
    Cup (3rd round) 0-0 draw, 4-0 win
Cup (round of 16) 2-1 win, 2-0 win.

After the 1st leg of the 2nd round, I purchased tokens to significantly upgrade my roster. Should have during 1st round of cup, as my opponent was an active manager. We jumped up 3-0 in the 1st leg, before the opponent pulled two back and my GK got injured @ the 58 minute, bringing my cup draw specialist (5* quality at level 5) into action. Not aware he was starting since I wasn't planning to manage my team until the league draw was announced, the cup draw specialist anchored a strong defensive effort in a 3-1 victory to see us thru to the 2nd round. Surprisingly its not the only high profile victory he's pulled off, winning the CL final (level 14) when I accidently started him.

CL: 1-1 draw, 4-1 win, 2-0 win, 0-1 loss, 4-0 win, 5-0 win. Won group.

League: Can't remember all scores but currently top the table by 5 points, with a GD of +28 (36-8)

Overall goals have been more difficult to come by than seasons past, but the defense has been outstanding. Only conceding 10 goals (12 clean sheets in 21 matches since upgrading my roster)

    Half season:

    Level 27 team

Performance in league is satisfactory. After starting with 1 loss and 1 draw, the team won all league matches except two weird losses:
    (1) Loss to a a team which lost all league matches until defeating my team and then win 4 matches in a row.
    (2) Loss to the current league leader today. During the match, after one of my MC was ejected at 53min, another MC was also ejected at 89min. Then my team conceded a goal, the matched ended, and the opponent took over the league leading position.

    Season 71 - Week 4-bulldog-league.jpg

For CL, my team luckily grouped with low level teams. So there is nothing worth for review except it suffered a loss to a level 26 team.

    Level 19 team

I am happy that this team is no longer weirdly inconsistent. It has some good or bad days but generally the performance is reasonable. I am happy that it can always defeated the much higher quality teams. These may be its weirdest performances.

    Season 71 - Week 4-beauty-league.jpg

In CL, the opponents at group stage are at same level as my team but are weak. In top 16 first match, my team is currently leading by 2-0 with 2 away goals.

Today Teda played two matches in 3 hours and we won both.

The first league match was nerve wrecking. We played on road and conceded a goal at 32 min and then I made some adjustments by changing 451V to 4222 Hexagon and started playing hard attacking. We then scored twice and brought a win back home. The best winger of mine scored the decisive goal and won the MOM, the ST got a 7 rating.

The next CL match started 3 hours later, I did not make major changes because I wanted to make something good in the first leg. The opponent is very weak so we won 4:0, and again on road. The best winger got a rating 10 and again he won the MOM in 3 hours.

What bothers me now is my second best winger who doesn't perform stably at all; his rating is always 7 and sometimes he got a 10! The ST is OK, in the live animation I can always see he draws back and makes one touch with other players and made assists for others to score, so this is what a single ST always does; although his rating is always waving between 7 and 8 as long as I can win I think I am OK. But I know he is not an ideal ST for 451V.
