Man of the match - how did this happen again ?!

Few days ago, I had a game with my alt team, RINOKEROS.
I have a player there, who is in a crazy form this season.
In that game, he scored 9 goal and gave two assists but he didn't win the Man of the match title





Yesterday I had another league game.
Borja scored again 8 goals and gave two assists and he didn't won the "Man of the match" again
* he is my man for free-kicks - scored 4 times






Just don't get it !

no one does, i lost a game and had best rated player on pitch but of course winning team get`s man of match ??

yes, I know your issue about that, but that's another case. I won those games.
The only logical scenario I can think is that if there are two (or maybe three) players that have the max rate, then the game doesn't choose the one with most goals/assists but making a random pick between of them.

what level are you and we all have a bad season or two, i`v had best team in league and team that won was 6th best team
