    DML and DMR?

    Hello I'm new at here

Recently i lost 5-0 with very powerful formation in my thought

    3N-2(DML, DMR) -2-1-2
And i go to 4-1-2-1-2 nd

The reason i use 4 defenders is because i want to block his dml and dmr if they are moving forward to mr and ml. Am i miscalculated his dml and dmr?

But it was shame and i got second place in champion league.

    And the real question is,
What function of his dml and dmr?
I know dr and dl are purposed to block aml and amr but what for dml and dmr?

In real life, these would be seen as Wing backs, usually operated to defend like a full-back and attack like a winger.

In game, I believe they are to block AML/AMR or even ML/MR and give support to midfield. According to T11 having 5 midfielders gives your team more possession.

Damn that's why he got me 5-0

Btw he lost to team that using 4-1-3W ( aml, amc, amr) -2

    First leg: 3-1
    Second leg: 2-1

So do you think this is very good tactic to counter his formation?

Maybe the key is this AMC who hasn't DMC in front

I think he was playing counter attacking.

this is one of the best defending formations in t11.
I think something important to check, is what are those DML, DMR are ?
Are they DML-ML-AML (DMR-MR-AMR) Are they helping in attack ? (scoring ? assist ?)
Or they are DL-DML ? In this case, I wouldn't use DL & DR.

Why would that matter, would a DMR/MR attack more than a DMR/DR or is it down to skill points?

Defenders are bad attackers (at finishing/scoring).
Even if a def. has better attack skills than an oppo player defending skills, he usually miss scoring when goes to counters.
(I don't know if this is internal programming of the player or from the process of the game).
The latest seasons, you can see in scout/list, players like DML-ML-AML. I asked some people and tell me that those are good in all their positions. So, such a player, if he is playing as DML and set a red arrow to him, he is very dangerous at counters.

The problem mainly lies on your AMC being hard-countered. You should move it forward or backward to avoid the DMLR pair.

Also losing so much in a game could also mean that your defense is inherently flawed. This problem may be in player form or formation orders.

When I face this formation..Im always use 4-4-1-1..and most of the time i have no problem with it...
