Atlético Kolkata Day 22 & 23 Report
Day 22: In Cup, the first leg I always to win by 4 goals with a clean sheet. But 3 goals is also good enough to play defensive in the 2nd leg. Entwisle headed from a Rose corner in 40', while Rose himself scored just before the break. Esteban Soto was the super sub, replacing Moore. He added the 3rd in 83', making it 3-0 and easing off pressure from the team. Once again, the MOM goes to Luke Rose.
In the league, GK Muhammad Ishorik got his first start — not that great, since he conceded in the 21'. In the second half, Soto levelled the score in 51'. 10 minutes later, Paul headed the winning goal, once again, by a Rose corner. After that, some excellent defending led us win. The MOM, however, was Rhys Ramsey. Other than him, no one was consistent.
Day 23: The crowd at Boulevard Park was thrilled as Atlético Kolkata thrashed a tanking team 9-0. Colm Moore opened our account in 22' and again scored in 26'. After that he assisted Franco twice in 34' and 43' and Azouni once in 38' before getting subsituted in the 50', to prevent fatigue. Defenders Jung-Shin Kim striked in 51', just before his substitute Sulaiwa came. He also netted in 81'. The other 2 came by Azouni (Franco) in 64' and Franco (Rose) in 74'. Though Moore couldn't complete his hattrick of goals, he had a hattrick of assist which made him MOM. Franco netted a hattrick. This win boosted our morale for the upcoming crunch game.

Had a few games this season against it, try mirror didn't work tried 3w-5-2v draw, didn't tried anything narrow, maybe ND or even a strong 4-4-2 will do too.Quote:

Just now remembered I played 4-4-2 in the first leg of Cup semifinal, won 3-0. Whenever I have doubts I play 4-4-2. But that isn't really a counter.Quote:

Min win but it is more than enough since we filled very weak team to rest all the key players for tomorrow home semi final CL...
We extent the lead to 11 points to the 2nd place n 15 points to 3rd place with 4 matches left...meant we assured of 2nd place in league at least...a draw tomorrow will be enough to clinch the title...

My main team won the last game against the number 5 of the league with a staggering 4-0 which put me back in the lead again. Very happy with this as the cup and CL were a dissapointment this season. However I will now have my 10th game with at least 1 player with a red card. Never had a season this red. I am right now I believe at 2 direct reds and 9 consecutive yellow reds. Crazy!!!!!
Lost big league game without attending 2-1 and their DC gets a rating of 10 but rivals can only draw so 2 points behind

Day 24 - Palace Casuals report.
Palace Casuals were at home to the 4th place team, and were unlucky not to grab all three points, having to settle for a point in their third successive 2-2 draw.
In the 12th minute the two strikers teamed up, Mehmet Serif feeding Philip Deery for his 6th goal in the last 7 matches. Mario Dinamarca curled a free-kick round the wall in the 25th minute to put the home side 2-0 up, forcing the visitors into a half-time reshuffle. The second half was a complete turn round, the visitors applying more attacking pressure and scoring twice to pull the match level, Casuals in their turn changing formation to counter any further scoring attempts. The home side then applied pressure of their own in the last five minutes, hitting the woodwork twice and forcing the goalkeeper into a point-blank save.
12 game unbeaten run comes to an end with a freak 3-0 result against 3w-1-1-3(AML, AMC, AMR)-2
Not the result I want to fill me with confidence before a crucial game.
Hard match against the 2nd, Vietnamese, I changed schedule 2 times but been 3am there he attended lolo I moved 19.20 to 20.50 they have +6 hours xD
Finally 2-2, thanks 2 fouls of David Beckham :)

The amazing thing is the second goal he made.
When he got the ball and pushed ball forward I could help laughing coz I thought he would make himself one on one with your keeper and then pass the ball backward .... But NO he did not do that ... instead he shot and scored!
This made me shocked because just days ago we talked about the ST issue especially the one on one situation? So this tells some interesting findings ...
