Day 17 - Palace teams report.
Palace Terriers Management looked at their 5-0 advantage and gave the reserves their chance at a start in their 2nd leg Champions League match. One of the 1st-teamers who retained his place, Declan McGranaghan scored at each end of the match in a 2-2 draw. Terriers progress to the Quarter-Finals 7-2 on aggregate.
Palace Casuals played away in their latest League match and had mixed fortunes on the pitch. Midfielder Mustapha Haouli picked up his first two bookings of the season and was back in the dressing room for an early bath by the 37th minute. The remaining ten men struggled on to half-time, where the Management had a substitution and formation change ready, but not without left-winger Martin Kozak netting an opening goal to put the visitors in the lead at the break. Five minutes into the second half, Andy Bayunu scored a fine solo goal, and substitute midfielder Miguel Saez put Casuals 3-0 up with nine minutes to go. The home side scored a last minute consolation goal, but Casuals were already celebrating their second away win of the season, 3-1.
Palace Terriers were psyched up to close the gap on the League leaders after they suffered a home draw, but were visited by the Nordeus Troll in their away match and lost 0-1, losing prolific right-winger Declan McGranaghan to an ACL tear injury on the way.
