Day 4 - Palace teams report.

Palace Terriers had a home Cup match, and despite having 13% possession advantage, lost to their slightly superior opponent 0-1 - as the 'Assistant Manager' said afterwards "To lose this match was a surprise".

Palace Casuals have embarked on another topsy-turvey season - a good performance followed by a bad performance, then a good performance, etc... First home League match of the season ended in a 0-3 defeat - another game where player, position, formation and tactical changes had no effect.

Palace Terriers first home League match of the season was a comfortable 4-1 win. Julien van der Plas started the ball rolling by diving in to head home a Luis Fernando Peralta corner in the 14th minute, and on the half-hour, Carlos Pineda scored the first of his brace by glancing in a Rui Pinhal free-kick. In the second half, Ian Kay converted a spot-kick after Florian Nicolaas had been fouled in the area, but the visitors immediately pulled one back before Pineda and Pinhal repeated the free-kick/header routine to complete the scoring. The ratings were close but Pinhal narrowly won the MoM award. Nicolaas will be out for two days with a thigh strain.
