Formation and Tactics

Hello there guys,

I really appreciate all your advice and suggestion before which helped me a lot to improve my team. However, I still have some doubts about the order and formation. I wonder how can I set the right order for the formation I'm using especially with the red and blue arrow, when to use it? I'm still struggling with that. All of your responses would be appreciated.

There is not a right formation
there is not a magic recipe
all those thing affects the game process only 1-2%
there are many factors which affect the game, if you add to that the roll dice of the game, the presence or not, of the managers, every game is different.
No one knows how those things are working for sure.
Just try and see the result.
As about the arrow, I use reds on my wingers and blues to my DCs but I don't know if the correct for every game.
There are many posts to read about, there is no need for another one. Read Tutorial and guides too.

I have my own guide, in my head.

I start matches with Normal Mentality 95% of the time. Exceptions are defensive if I play counter or against stronger teams, attacking if I know I'm going to win.
Short passing when players in close proximity (AMC+ST+ST or AML+ST+ST+AMR)
Mixed usually for flat formations or occasional 4-5-1v formation
Long on the counter
I try not to use high press and man to man together as it drains condition so one or the other.
Usually use normal tackling, hard against tough teams rarely ever easy.
I never use counter with attacking mentality
I usually start with offsides when opponent quality low or 3 strikers
