What a win....we both love 4 4 2 classic. He had a slightly better team. So I went normal and switched on counter. My free kick specialist striker made a difference again with a free kick and a delightful one on one goal. My keeper was doing some push ups instead of stopping the opponent's shot. 8th clean sheet in a row as we drew away 0-0 in champions league and my RM Reno is banned so I will have to play Escobar AMR/ST at MR instead of ST and play backup ST up front for next leg.
Day 19 - Palace teams report (1/2).
Palace Terriers played their Champions League Quarter-Final 1st Leg at home against an equally-rated team and drew 1-1. The referee got his cards out in the 1st minute and booked one of the Terriers MCs and 16 minutes later the other one was in the book after a penalty-box incident that led to the visitors scoring from the spot. Thus shackled by the fear of the second card, the midfield was useless for the forseeable future, so the Management decided to use longball and bypass them entirely. The match then descended into a dour struggle, which even a midfield substitution and return to short passing failed to enliven. Just back from injury, striker Samir Gross provided the finishing touch from an Andre Forsmark corner in the second half to bring the scores level, but neither defence was yielding and the match ended without further trouble to the scoreboard.

Palace Casuals had a home League match against 8th place and after opening the scoring, went behind and left it late to scrape home with a 3-2 win. Left-winger Andre Faisca scored the first goal on the rebound after his initial shot was saved by the 'keeper, but the visitors were level just before the break, and went ahead just after it. Into the last 10 minutes, and Casuals threw everything into a final hard attacking effort bolstered by a possession bonus, and first right-winger Andrea Denicola netted a Faisca cross for the equaliser and then provided a corner which striker Maarten Wiegman headed home for a late winner.
Casuals go up a place to 10th but are a way behind getting to any promotion place, so look to be (unintentionally) tanking this season...

Damnn it was not a good game from us. Oppenent wasn't present but had 4 supporters.
Lucky it is ended in a draw. But the defence from oppenent was good.

Business as usual. Winning Eleven played smoothly vs Janar, got 3 yellow cards and thus 2 players out for the next game, which is good since I have a lot of yellow cards to get rid of! Then tonight we had an easy CL game in the quarter finals, where we earned an early qualification to the semifinals.
World United won 3-1 vs Black FC and regained the 11 points lead they had yesterday thanks to a 2-2 tie of the runners up. Another late 0-1 tonight in the CL quarter finals vs a mostly balanced team, so it's a good away win!
And we are still in the game, both teams are aiming for at least the podium in all 3 competitions!

Painful I conceded so late when the win was almost in the basket. He had 15% advantage over my team and I managed a draw. It was really tasking I had to be calm under pressure. I wonder how top level managers go through this tactical battle almost everyday. You guys are wonderful. This is a really interesting game except for the trolls [emoji6] but its bound to happen anyway.

Why so late? Actually the day before there was an unexpected storm in the city. It was so bad, it apparently took half a day to restore the connections of TV, internet, etc.

My main team keeps on working wonders woohoo. After yesterdays match I am back in the lead. 9 wins in a row now. Crazy season. Only thing that is low is my scoring overall. I am only at +17 goals (last match was 4-0). I have only 2 mentions in the top 5 lists of best players. My striker is at a 7,7 and 10 assists.

No cup or CL matches today, so I took the time to train the players.
Winning Eleven won 2-1 with a late goal of my opponent which wasn't even very deserved, but I struggled a bit going past their defense. However not a big deal, we keep an 8 points lead with 8 matches to go.
World United easily won 5-0 and kept the 11 points lead.
I hope to keep this advantage so I can concentrate more on the other 2 tournaments.
