Day 19 - Palace teams report (2/2).
Palace Terriers played against 6th place at home and ran out 4-1 winners after a relatively easy match. One goal each for left-winger Mark Hughes, strikers Samir Gross and Kamel Hamlili, and right-winger Declan McGranaghan. Hamlili also had two assists but the sterling efforts of Hughes earned him MoM.
Palace Casuals played at home in the 1st Leg of their Champions League Quarter-Final and kept a vital clean sheet in a 3-0 win. Left-winger Andre Faisca netted a penalty after an opposition player got the Order of the Early Bath from the referee after an incident in the box, and striker Maarten Wiegman copped a brace, scoring with the last touch of each half, making 4 in 5 matches - surely not a striker at Level 28 that can score?
Any formation or tactics advice given is based purely on experience with my teams...
Business as usual. Winning Eleven played smoothly vs Janar, got 3 yellow cards and thus 2 players out for the next game, which is good since I have a lot of yellow cards to get rid of! Then tonight we had an easy CL game in the quarter finals, where we earned an early qualification to the semifinals.
World United won 3-1 vs Black FC and regained the 11 points lead they had yesterday thanks to a 2-2 tie of the runners up. Another late 0-1 tonight in the CL quarter finals vs a mostly balanced team, so it's a good away win!
And we are still in the game, both teams are aiming for at least the podium in all 3 competitions!

Painful I conceded so late when the win was almost in the basket. He had 15% advantage over my team and I managed a draw. It was really tasking I had to be calm under pressure. I wonder how top level managers go through this tactical battle almost everyday. You guys are wonderful. This is a really interesting game except for the trolls but its bound to happen anyway.

Atlético Kolkata Day 17-19 Report
Out of CL (2-0 agg) and through the Cup (4-1 agg):
Why so late? Actually the day before there was an unexpected storm in the city. It was so bad, it apparently took half a day to restore the connections of TV, internet, etc.

A good defence is the best offense.

A very disappointed result yesterday in Champions League, just 1-0 but the game was horrible... With 7,8 and 9 stars players couldn't even shoot once at the goal, damn
