As the game engine keeps on putting me in 1 lvl higher Champions League i don't see why not applaing the strategy to get an easier cup competition..
League and CL are already hard on higher levels.. and yeah, it's not abuse if everyone is able to use it.
It just comes down to how much you know about the game.. believe me, many players got no idea how this works.. even tho they've been playing for 3 years now.

I agree it is a strategy. But some have abused of this.
there is no abuse or cheating or whatever.
It's a game with specific rules, same for every one.
You can learn to use tactics if you're going for trophies or you can having fun play it simply and for whatever comes.
But there is no reason to **** down and moaning every time for knowing things (specially for the members of that forum who can have all the info).

No it is not, because users don't use the search option here. Also the search option is limited on this forum here and it does not work efficiently. Also, many users don't read thoroughly in threads, that is they just read a few posts.
But, you know most if not all of that already.

Anyone else get a crazy draw?
The best feeling in this game is when one crashes the semi's/finals of a higher level cup. It's a difficult task, but not impossible. Most those managers two levels above you, aren't real active and often aren't highly skilled, so with the correct role of the dice, a deep run is still possible.

I'm facing a level 27 in the first round (I'm level 24), so the level gap is present; but his players are all 2* for his level, so I know he isn't highly active and being opening day, I doubt he'll be winning any bidding wars.

The same applies to tanking, and this one can affect other users in the league. Not all users choose to tank from the first day. Some play seriously for 1-2 weeks and then decide to tank, hence affecting some teams in the league.
I won't agree; mid season tanking almost always backfires, since the other clubs are too weak to improve over you

Where did I say the opposite? What you don't agree? You misunderstood what I have posted.

I said that there are cases where a team play seriously in the first 1-2 weeks, and then for whatever reason (for instance, the manager thinks that he can't win the particular league), he decide to tank, and this affects other teams in the league. For example, a team played against you early in the season, when he was playing seriously, but played one or both matches against other title challengers or promotion challengers when he was tanking. This is where it is unfair. This does not mean that the team intended to tank succeeded or deciding to tank in week 2 is appropriate or something like you said above.

I'm talking about the tanking team, not the other teams, who gives a damn about them unless they're your arch rivals
