Youth academy upgrade

Hi,
if I upgrade the yoth academy I'll lost my two young players for this season?
Does the waiting time decrase at higher levels?
When I have to do the upgrade to receive the young players at the first day of next season? (To don't make them get older at the season starting)

Yes, starting your upgrade will restart the progress of that faculty, whether that's youth players, rest or med packs.

The time between youth players does decrease with each upgrade. You can search, it goes from ~24 down to 12 days or something.
