Too right - since coming back I've been using more neutral formations with normal mentality and no counter at home, defensive formation with defensive mentality away, using counter only if fairly equal Quality. Seems to work OK at the moment.

With respect to the home/away conundrum, so far this season for the whole League, 56 matches played; 18 home wins, 25 away wins and 13 draws.

    Here is an update:

    • League: 35-21-49 (20-6-23 past week)
    • Ch. League: 52-19-41 (26-6-16 past week)
    • N. League: 49-29-49 (11-13-7 past week)
    • Cup: 56-21-43 (6-1-1 past week)
    • Assoc: 35-26-35 (22-10-16 past week)
    • TOTAL: 227-116-217 (85-36-63 past week)

You'll notice that the home team had more of an advantage this past week, especially in competitions that involve two-legged playoffs. League is still showing an advantage for the home team.

I wonder if the engine gives the Home team a different hidden internal advantage depending on which competition the game is for, and what stage that competition is in.

Just checked the stats of my second team. It is in the second place of the league right now, in the quarter finales of the CL and is just out of the cup.

    15 home wins
    5 ties
    14 away wins

Not that much of a difference. Highest win at home 10-0. Highest win away 0-5. Average amount of goals at home way higher then away.
    FC Knudde:
    Seasons: 46
    League won: 33
    CL won: 10
    Cup won: 4

    FC Killroy:
    Seasons: 32
    League won: 20
    CL won: 6
    Superleague: 3
    Cup won: 7

Maybe I need help then, because I have only won one home game in the League this season. I have tried everything: attacking formations, possession formations, all resulting in losses. I have 6 road wins though.

There's got to be some form of handicapping system in the League competition. I am convinced. Maybe not the others, but League definitely.
